Duke Men's Club Volleyball
We don't have a varsity team, but this is as close as it gets
Club Information
Duke University has two different club teams. The A team competes in
the ECVA (Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association) and is composed of
undergraduate students only. The B team competes in the USVA (United
States Volleyball Association) and has both undergraduate and graduate
students.

Schedules
The A Club
The A team concludes its season by travelling to the conference
tournament on Saturday, March 30. The team enters as the second seed
from the division.
The B Club
The B team will play in the regional qualifiers next month, to play for
seedings in the USA volleyball High B Carolina Regional finals tournament.
Results
The A Club
The A team began its regular season with two non-conference opponents -
William & Mary and University of Virginia. Duke defeated William & Mary
3 games to 0 by the scores of: 15-6, 15-12, 15-9. Duke lost to UVA 1
game to 3 by the scores of: 2-15, 6-15, 15-11, 10-15. Duke began its
conference schedule against University of North Carolina on Tuesday,
February 20. Duke defeated UNC in three straight games: 17-15, 15-7, and
15-13. Duke travelled to Gastonia to compete in their Southeastern
Invitational Tournament on Saturday February 24. Seven teams were
present - Universities of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Wilmington,
East Tennessee State University, Central Connecticut University, Wake
Forest University, Duke University A team and B team. The A team went
undefeated throughout the round robin competition beating teams by as
much as 15-3. The A team received the number one seed in the playoffs
and defeated UNC in the finals to win the championship. Duke's setter,
James Conger, was named MVP of the tournament. Duke University played
Virginia Tech on Sunday February 25 at NC State University. Due to a
limited amount of players who could attend, Duke lost 3 games to 0.
Duke finished off its regular season by playing East Carolina and N.C.
State in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday March 23 and Sunday March
24, respectively. The Blue Devils defeated East Carolina in 5
games(3-2). After losing the first game to NC State, Duke went on to
win the next three games to secure there second place finish in the
division behind Virginia Tech. This gave Duke the second seed from the
division for the season ending tournament.
