The Coble Ski School

Located in Lillington, North Carolina, the Coble Ski School is one of the world's finest and most complete water ski training centers. The school consists of several different quarry lakes running in different directions to provide maximum protection from the wind. Students wishing to stay longer than a day can enjoy lake front accommodations and home cooking.


The Cobles

The Coble family has been actively involved in the water skiing community for over 16 years. The whole family, Gary, Shirley, April and Valerie, has been showcased as tournament skiers throughout the world. April, the head instructor, is a 21 time U.S. National Champion who is continually training to compete in the top world tournaments.

Skiing

The Coble Ski School offers ski instruction to all ages and levels of water skiers. The perks of the school include:

  1. Three MasterCraft competition ski boats.
  2. Professional drivers and instructors.
  3. All ski equipment provided needed for slalom, trick, and jump skiing, as well as wakeboarding, kneeboarding or just lounging.
  4. Three regulation slalom courses plus a mini course for beginners.
  5. Full-size jump ramp plus a mini jump for beginners.
  6. Demo equipment available at not cost.
  7. Main-lake boat dock with equipment room and TV/snack bar room.
  8. Open-air hot shower.
  9. Fishing for students.
  10. Easy access to local gyms and golf courses.

Special Note

The Duke Water Ski Team encourages any and all skiers to come to the Coble Ski School. The combination of the facility and the atmosphere make it one of the best places to improve or learn water skiing skills. We would especially like to thank the Coble Family for allowing us to ski at their facility for without them we would not exist.
