This page will attempt to provide as much information as possible to you. Here you will find links to various information and hopefully a few answers to any questions you may have about our club and what we do

General Information

Duke started competing as a waterski team last year. Everyone is welcome on the team. Our team has high expectations in the next few years and has hopes of growing into a great team, a goal well on its way to being accomplished. There are 4 tournaments held in both the fall and spring semester. The tournaments are a great experience and everyone is encourages to come to any tournament you can. In order to ski with the team and have use of our new 2001 Ski Nautique, you must pay $55 dues and sign a waiver. For more information about joining the club, check the How to Join page.

Email List

The best way to get and keep in touch with what is happening with the club is to subscribe to the waterski club e-mail list. To sign up, simply send an email to majordomo@duke.edu and in the body of the message type, "subscribe waterski". You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes from majordomo. This list will keep you up to date on all the waterski related information throughout the year. If this doesn't work there are a few other options on the Email List page.

Sponsors

The team is currently working on expanding our sponsorships. O'Brien is our only sponsor as of now but they have very generously donated ski equipment in the past few years. With our new sponsorship proposal being sent out to companies and corporations across the nation, we hope to gain as many sponsors as possible. There will be a Sponsors page set up once we have them. For information on sponsoring our team, please read our Sponsorship Proposal (in Word format).

Cobles and Crosswinds

Whether you decide to use our equipment or go to the ski school with us, please remember to always be on your best behavior. The people at Crosswinds Marina and the Coble Ski School have been nice enough to let us use their facilities, so please thank them whenever you get the chance. If you need directions to either Crosswinds Marina or the Coble's Ski School, follow the preceding link.

Send email to Kelly (kve@duke.edu) if you want more info on the Duke Water Ski Club.
