COORDINATING COUNCIL

Coordinating Council is the planning body for Wesley, made up of our campus minister, our chapel interns, and designated team leaders from each area in the life of Wesley. They meet together every two weeks to coordinate and organize the life of our community. Council meetings are always open to all.

The teams are as follows:

Social Justice
This team will work together in this arena that defines the personality of Wesley. They will coordinate regular local mission opportunities for the entire group, offer contacts for individual mission opportunities in the Durham community, and assist with planning the fall and spring break teams. For more information contact Ted Holt.

Fellowship
This team will work together to plan the "social" events for Wesley and help coordinate the spontaneous gatherings that emerge from time to time. In addition to social gatherings, this group will organize the Sunday evening dinner before Wesley Worship. For more information contact Katie Kimrey.

Formation/Retreats
This team has responsibility for fall and spring retreats, including site selection, retreat theme, and meal planning. This group also helps develop our numerous small group studies. For more information contact Ashley DeMass.

Outreach/Communications
This team has the responsibility for publishing the student newsletter, posting the Coordinating Council minutes, and producing powerpoint slide shows for Parents' Weekend and Senior Honors Banquet. Additionally, this group will also coordinate the requests from local churches to hear from student teams about the work of Wesley. A student treasurer will come from this team. For more information contact Erin Pusser.

Worship
This team plans the our regular Sunday evening worship services. They coordinate guess speakers and other Wesley members in planning for the main event. For more information contact Megan Shelton.
