Who We Are
"It is Christianity that gave the idea of the individual worth to every soul. It is Christianity also that announced that the individual soul could not be complete except in relation." - John Harvey

Westminster Presbyterian Fellowship is an active group of Christian students
at Duke University that is dedicated to prayer, worship, fellowship, and
community service. All Reformed students are invited to participate (Presbyterian
and United Church of Christ), as well as those of other Christian denominations.
The group is run by a steering committee of
eleven students and our campus minister, the Reverend Cheryl Barton Henry.

Weekly WPF meetings (9-10 pm on Monday nights) take on contemporary Christian issues regarding our faith as Christians, campus life, and the world at large. Meetings are preceded by a half-hour of snacks and fellowship, and once a month, a time of worship. Our weekly lunches (Thursday afternoons from 12:30-1:30 pm) offer opportunities for informal discussion and relationship building. Members of WPF worship regularly at Presbyterian churches throughout Durham, periodically leading worship upon invitation by these churches. Students also participate in a wide variety of service activities, such as nursing home visitation and tutoring at nearby elementary schools, and get together for monthly fellowship activities.
