Cherrie earned her B.A. in religious studies from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) in 1983. She graduated from McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL) in 1986 with her Masters of Divinity and was ordained as a PCUSA Minister of Word and Sacrament in March of 1987. After eight years in parish ministry, Cherrie came to Duke and is now in her thirteenth academic year as the Presbyterian Campus Minister. She is happily married to Andy Henry, a transportation planner for the City of Durham, and has two children, Abi (17 years) and Sam (6 years). And of course there is Misha, Cherrie's ever-friendly dog. Cherrie loves working with college students and especially enjoys reading, singing, hiking, and hanging out in coffee shops!
