Dinner with Tulane Students

Four WiSE women, Heidi K. Lori, Monica, and Tong met with Natasha and other 8 Tulane students over dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings on Franklin St. Chapel Hill. WiSE women sent the funds we raised and Dean Kristina Johnson contributed, as well as gifts from the Pratt School of Engineering and Duke Graduate School. The dinner table represented a good number of nationals - America, Canada, China, Cuba, India, Kenya, and Vietnam. The 9 Tulane graduate students were displaced by Katrina and spent their fall semester at UNC School of Public Health. They will return to Tulane University this winter knowing that Duke and UNC are great schools :-)

WiSE says goodbye to Jessica

Jessica Ali, who used to be the office manager at Women's Center, is leaving for Norway with her baby due March 2006. WiSE got Jessica a card and a little gift for the baby. The new office manager, Debora Robinson will join Women's Center staff starting Jan. 5.

PC says farewell to Sarah

Sarah, our active senior PC member, is leaving us for a faculty position in the department of mechanical engineering at University of Kansas. Lori, Heidi, and Tong said farewell to her on behalf of the PC. Take care, Sarah. We will invite you back as a speaker in the future :-)
