WiSE at Duke

WiSE OWL reception

The WiSE OWL reception was successfully held today 5-6PM at FCIEMAS atrium. There were 49 nominees for this award, a mix of female graduate and post-doc students in disciplines spanning from chemistry, math, physics, pharmacology, environment, engineering, psychology, political science, MEM and biology. Three winners were announced.

Thanks to Heidi K. who came up with the idea and implemented it. Thanks to the nominators and nominees who were involved. Thanks to the six selection committee members who made the difficult decisions. Thanks to Heidi H. who did a great job being the MC of the reception. WiSE women gratefully thank the Graduate Student Affairs for their support and sponsorship.
