I have never received any formal Computer Science training, nor have I
ever learned much in the way of programming; that said, years of hanging out with computer geeks
and a few pet computing projects have made me a quick learner and pretty adept in several areas
of computing.
Specifically, I consider myself pretty good at setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting a
computer workstation (especially in Mac OS, but also in Windows and Linux), as well as image
manipulation (using Photoshop and The GIMP) and to some degre graphic design and video editing. I
also have a general working knowledge of UNIX-type commands and scripts.
The closest thing I have to programming experience is writing little games for myself in BASIC
back when I owned a Commodore 64.
