System Design Classwork (Port simulation)

The problem statement was somewhat ambiguous, for our group had to decide how far to control the cargo (essentially, whether or not the warehouses were under our jurisdiction.  The experience was quite productive.  In the group we were able to create a fairly good model of the shipping process.  All members of the group contributed a fairly equal amount, and no real roles emerged (of course only one person wrote down the work, but he still actively contributed actively).  One interesting thing was that, when comparing with another group, we found that the two systems we had designed were very similar, even though we were addressing two very different problems.
