Kerry's Mistake

We've heard about the Iraq War, we've heard about the economy, we've heard about abortion, gay marriage, and the weapons ban. What we haven't heard from either candidate is anything about the environment. As the ozone deteriorates at a fast rate, nobody seems to care. This is definitely an advantage for Bush. His administration received an F from the Sierra Club, and some groups "have declared Bush the worst president regarding the environment in recent history" (Kilian). John Kerry, on the other hand, received a great deal of praise from the League of Conservation Voters. Kerry has to take advantage of the environment issue; it is the category in which he has the clearest advantage over Bush, but many voters don't know that. Kerry can give himself a much-needed boost in a tight election by boasting the discrepancy between his environmental record and that of President Bush.
