When did you first start using a computer?
When I was in China in elementary
school. My parents wrote books teaching people how to use computer applications
such as Photoshop and Microsoft Word. I mainly used Paint to draw stuff.
What kinds of computers have you used?
I begin my computer career using Windows,
and now I have a macbook I named Macbaby, which also has a Windows partition
named Wacbaby.
How do you use computers on a daily basis?
I use it for emails, calendar,
programming, and everything in between.
What event(s) made you interested in studying computer science?
I was inspired
by all that you can do with programming and learned a lot from my mom, who is
a software engineer.
What do you think a computer scientist does on a daily basis?
Write codes.
Describe your best (or worst) programming experience; what made it so good
(or so bad)?
Best: Finishing CPS110 project at 4am (4 hours past the deadline)
but seeing it work so beautifully.
Describe your most (or least) favorite programming project; what made it
so appealing (or so unappealing)?
Least favorite: Same as above, because my
working code was not accepted due to me submitting it past the deadline. That
was disheartening.
How do you see yourself using computers in the future?
I see myself living
in a computerized world.
