I began my computer life in seventh grade, when my grandmother bought me an iMac (apple green). Since then, I've used a number of computers, using the Windows, OSX, and Linux operating systems. Currently, I use my computer for a major activities:
As a young person, I became interested in computer science after programming my TI-83 calculator to play Pong. The real reason I want to take the class is to gain tools for building simple web applications related to my entrepreneurial interests.
Asking what a computer scientists does all day is like asking what a mathematician does all day: there is no standard answer. Computer scientists are working on an unbelieveable array of tasks, each with their own daily working routines. This feeling is confirmed by the pieces by Jim Morris and Steve Lohr.
I'm interested in creating programs which can disseminate information across email channels and other social networks, and customized online storefront applications. I see myself continuing to use computers to complete my thesis and building my digital footprint (both with my blog and by building an online store).
