Installing Dial-Up Networking

using Microsoft Windows 95

Install Dial-Up Networking

If you didn't install Dial-Up Networking when you installed Windows 95, then you need to do it right now. If you already have Dial-Up Networking installed, skip to the section titled Setting Up The Network Configurations.

Go to Control Panel (double-click My Computer, then select Control Panel), and and double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon, then click on the Windows Setup tab.
Scroll through the list until you see Communications, and highlight it as shown below:

Click the Details button, and check the box for Dial-Up Networking:

Once you click OK, Windows will prompt you for your installation diskettes/CD-ROM. Dial-Up Networking will then be installed, and a new folder added to your Control Panel folder. Ignore this folder for now.

You are now ready to Configure Your Network Settings.
