REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

I offer my services to the Duke community as time permits.

I can perform most basic repair and maintenance work on vintage and modern tube guitar amplifiers.

My standard bench rate is $25 per hour.

If your amp is broken, give me a call and bring it by. My phone number is listed on Facebook, visible to all Duke students.

If I can diagnose the problem within 10 minutes, diagnosis is free. If it takes longer than that, I'll inform you before proceeding, and charge the standard bench rate for the remainder of the diagnosis. Before ordering any parts or proceeding with any repair work, I'll contact you with an estimate of parts, labor, and time to complete.

I try to keep common parts that break frequently, such as input jacks and screen resistors, in stock. For other repairs, I will probably have to order the part, and it may take up to several weeks for it to arrive.

I will not work on any amp that does not have a grounded power cord. I can install a grounded power cord for the standard bench rate plus the cost of parts.
