- Tim Zhang has won a $400 grant from Duke's Undergraduate Research Support Office to help fund his work in the Wiley Lab.
- Aaron Rathmell has been selected to receive a Paul M. Gross fellowship. This fellowship will provide support for both the Fall and Spring semesters, and he will also receive a $500.00 supplement at the end of September.
- Adria Wilson has been selected to receive a Pelham Wilder fellowship in recognition of her contributions to teaching. This fellowship will provide a $500.00 supplement at the end of September.
- Congratulations to Adria Wilson for winning the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Fellowship to support her work on understanding structure-property relationships of bimetallic catalysts. The fellowship provides a stipend of $30,000 a year for a period of three years.
Congratulations to Prof. Benjamin Wiley for his receipt of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award. The award, given to junior faculty at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) member institutions, provides seed money for Prof. Wiley's research into making real-time movies of the liquid-phase assembly of atoms into nanowires.
