Registration and Further Course Information for PS213, Spring 2011
For a copy of the syllabus from Fall 2009, please see the link further down on the "Teaching" page. The syllabus will be substantially revised for Spring 2011, including a significant reduction in the required readings, but the syllabus from Fall 2009 will give you a sense of the topics to be covered.
To register for this course, you will need a "permission" number. Sorry about that. Go get one, if you are interested in taking the course ...
Graduate students in Political Science: Please email me.
Poli Sci graduate students are guaranteed a spot in the class.
Graduate students from other disciplines: please email me to introduce yourself and tell me your background in coursework or experience that is pertinent for this course.
Undergraduates: Please send me an email with the following information:
-
your full name
-
your class (junior, senior, etc.)
- your major
- why you are interested in this course
- classes that you have taken in political science and/or economics, including full course title and grade
- seminars that you have taken in any field (incl. course title and grade if not included above)
- classes in which you have written primary research papers (if any, incl. title and grade).
I expect to be able to admit up to 5 seniors (and in exceptional circumstances juniors), depending on qualifications. Those who have taken this class in the past have done very well. They also have worked very hard. Please do not request a permission number unless you are serious about wanting to take the course. That said, if you receive a permission number and then decide to drop the class, please inform me as soon as possible, so that I can offer your spot to another student.
