Wha 'appened?

So, I'be been playing at least an hor of DDR a day. When I return to Duke, I fully expect to be a little bit better. Not a lot, but if I slowly keep improving, I'll eventually be somewhere close to where Albert is right now (and nowhere near where he'll be by the time I get to that point). I'm happy where I am DDR-wise though, so who cares. I really love playing that game.

We had 9 guests over, and despite that - I managed to write some relatively hefty reviews yesterday night. I even managed to say hi to Laura as she got up to go to work as I prepared to hit the bed. That was interesting, I assure ye. Other'n that, the days have been rather uneventful. I'm considering Prince of Persia or Return of the King in exchange for Mario Kart: DD. It's a shame, I really wanted MK:DD to rock. Que sera sera, now to figure a way to circumnavigate every store's return policies. It was made by man, by man it can be unmade.

This is probably the last, or near last, post of 2003. I think that deserves rcognition, but not so much so that I should do anything other than mention that. There, I'm done. Happy New Year! Have a good 31st, try not to get to too wasted. Wasteeeeed. So waaaasteeeeeed. For the record, by the way- Legolas was a badass fighter, but only because his moves were agile and therefore cool looking. This in no way made him a better fighter than Aragorn, who was way cooler and didn't look like a girl. I know many of ye consider Orlando Bloom to be hot incarnate, but what ye may not know is that you're also wrong. Ha! *runs away giggling*

Limbo

"To remove stress, squeeze boob."

I leave that there to add an overall sketchy feeling to this entry, once again devoid of any real content I seek only to entertain and perhaps show just how twisted my days can be. Today was a trip to the mall, and exchanging of items. I understood today some of Zach Stroum's ire regarding customers at a store. This poor lass, about 23 or so it looked, was being harangued by an elderly couple (read: hag and hagor). They're trying to return an item using these two receipts. One shows the item at about 90 bucks, the other at 85 and they're trying to get that 5 bucks. The thing is, the receipt for 90 specifically says there was a return involved - namely, whoever bought it came and complained that they'd been charged unfairly, and were reimbursed five bucks. So these two guys demand a managerial visit, this poor lady is put under more stress, and it seemed generally like shit was raining down around her.

Me and my mom struck up a conversation with her, and gave her sympathetic looks that said something along the lines of, "If you want them dead, we're Colombian." Or at least that's what I was trying to impart. Maybe my mom's was slightly different, who knows.

I have acquired a new DDR pad, and much to my eternal joy, my DDR-skill has improved just a hair. Though it's a hair that makes me feel like I'm improving. It's the Konami pad, and I highly recommend it. THe entire bottom of the pad is composed of the same rubbery substance that you place under rugs to keep them from sliding, which is of course a rather ideal situation for the bottom of a pad you don't want moving around. Also, came with Max2, which has some nice songs. I like "Drram a Dream" so far, though I admit to not having gone through many. I intend to get through as many as possible by the end of tomorrow.

Word from people over the break is "Camilo, you've lost weight." In addition, today I got "Camilo, you have a nice ass." Both of these are highly appreciated, though I'm not sure what incited them. I think DDR can take most of the credit, or at least that's my belief. Firstly, DDR is my main and only form of exercise recently. Secondly, there are very few opportunities where you can stand/sit behind me and watch my butt move back and forth quickly. Hence, DDR is my new window to hotness. "Just rub it on a piece of wax paper, if you can see through the paper, it's your window to obesity." Ah, Simpsons, you fill me with a joy known only to the wonderful Super-Ferret Jinkuto, and his amorous companion Sex-Weasel. Oh, that crazy duo, what will they get into next?

Duckfather

Vinny, you broke my heart. *kiss of death to vinny* I 'tought you were wit' me, one a da family. But no, you turn against yo' Duckfather, crack yo' knucles against me. Me! Da one dat raised yas. I hate to do 'dis, but you've gotta sleep wit' de fishes. And I don't mean the same way Troy McClure did. No, 'dis is not about a fetish - it is about respect for your Duckfather. So long Vinny, you misguided hitman youse.

I return! Gloriously, of course. And my first order of business is to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas! Celebrate the holidays, get great presents and love one another! Just like the hippies...

That reminds me - Social Psychology gave me an insight into the human condition. It's rather obvious really, but now there's significant proof. Two studies: the first studied sexual arousal and aggression. They found that mild arousal lowers aggression, and high arousal increases it (presuming said arousal cannot be... satiated - if you get my drift). Along the same lines, study number two looked at drugs' effect on aggresion. Little alcohol has no effect, much alcohol raises aggression. Stimulants raise aggression across the board. And THC (that is to say, weed) lowers aggression when doses are high. So... I realized - combine these two with a low stress life-style and you've got the most passive people you can imagine. And this culminated in the realization that hippies liked sex, weed, and sitting around thinking about having sex and smoking weed. No wonder they were so peaceful! I should also mention that G-Dub our Presidente was a cocaine snorting white guy with big ears. Stimulant, no sex, and stressed out lifestyle. No wonder he's looking to pick a fight. And they say college doesn't teach.

So, first issue has to do with my notebook of drawings - It's missing, probably sitting in my dorm room where I left it. So, I'm missing two comics which would place themselves at this point in the cycle. I don't intend to redraw those, I am lazy. I will skip them, and put them in at a later date. I will finish the story-line anyways, though. And then all will be well, except you'll have to understand why two more rave comics may come up later. It will be done soon, this I swear *Krakathoom!*

In a much belated announcement, Laura won the previous contest that all of four people entered. Laura, Eileen, Anthony, and my bro. So... I figured since you all got it right, ask me to draw something and I'll do it in the order you sent in the answers - which is something akin to the list above (though my bro got it first, he can always ask me to draw something. As, honestly, could anyone else. I just wanted to be a big man ... *sniffle*)

Due to computer issues, I can't do Photoshop yet to get my comics up. Nor can I upload pix online very well either. I also can't play Final Fantasy XI, so I'll be forever behind those of you who can. Including Fong who is apparently a gaming addict able to play more than most humans could withstand. *cough*loser*cough* Well, now that it's been said, I feel much better. Bwahahaha! To make up for my inability to use my cat-woman at my whim, I have joined back into the dank depth that is Gemstone 3. This game has reapeared in my gaming dossier since 6th grade. It's so good! I should mention that by this point it's actually Gemstone 4, but the game remains very similar, with many vast improvements. I love 'dis game in a way that only a cocaine addict could understand (which coincidentally means that most of you who read this site could probably understand what I mean, you coke-snorting peace-mongers. Wait... is that a paradox... oh well. Let the wordologists worry about paradoxes, I'll worry about... something else.)

In other news, I have a camera so at some point in the near future, when I can start uploading programs, expect to see pictures that I myself have taken. It's true! My will be done.

In the words of Zach Stroum have "a nice Christmas. Or as the Jews refer to it, 'Thursday.'"

Busy Busy!

I'm busier than a pimp on Valentine's Day, so sorry about the lack of updates. Instead, I present to youse guys the fruit of my groins... I mean, loins. Yes, loins.

Who loves bad jokes and Zelda humor!? I do! And you probably will, too. If you ever played Wind Walker that is. Heheheheheheh. Also, how many of you know about Electron Band Structure in Germanium? Well, I certainly didn't until now. I suggest you learn about them as well. For edification and... stuff. Thanks go out to Albert for teaching me the ways of germanium.

In the spirit of exams, I present these two links: This one's seen it's rounds of my friends' websites, but I like to claim initial discovery - the surefire way to study for finals. And this second one is just for if you find yourself in trouble. Ignore the bloggy part - I know not who it is. It's just the image. Thanks go out to Laura's friends for that bit of wisdom.

And that's all I've got for this update. I'll have bucu comics up over the break, that's a promise. You just watch!

Journal of a (Tired) Madman

I will keep this as a journal of how busy I am. Just so you know it's not because I'm playing video games that I'm not updating often.

4:53 AM - I've decided rubber ass is appealing somehow. I suspect that ferrets led by Weasel are hiding behind my bed, ready to jump out. Also began suspecting Orlando Jones is sexier than Orlando Bloom. And Johnny Depp is not in their rankings. Insanity.

5:10 AM - It slowly dawns on me that I'm probably not going to be sleeping tonight. And that Ernest P. Warrel was probably much less weird in real life. Until he got shocked while trying to escape from jail. I bet he was messed up after that.

5:32 AM - The ferrets are mounting an attack upon my goatee, angry at its blasphemous use of hair. I fought them off using silly putty and with the aid of a friendly green extra-terrestrial who called himself "Santos." His english wasn't very good, but I didn't think it polite to tell him. Especially since he was speaking spanish.

6:23 AM - I think Santos stole my chap-stick. My lips are dry and flaky, and not a single bit of flavored wax in sight. I regret having told Burt that his Beeswax was crap, and wish to make amends. Perhaps if I send him something he needs... like honey! No wait, you fool! He raises bees! He has honey! He'd prefer drugs, obviously. I shall send my mule directly to Burt in search of his infamous beeswax.

7:25 AM - The lies! Hypnosis is no more real than the existence of a gigantic and infinite universe containing an untold number of planets and stars, which extends on towards infinity! Oh... wait. Santos, the friendly E.T. has told me that, "Los gatos no entienden a los burros." I would again like to point out his bad English, but I have to admit that he's right. It was an unusual way of saying it, but like the cats, I just don't understand infinity. Oh you crazy, crazy universe! Always with the wacky antics. I thought you'd learn at the Big Bang, you rapscallion, but it appears you just keep expanding. Y'know, I bet if you got outside every once in a while, got some exercise, you could maybe slow down the whole "infinite expansion" thing you've got going.

7:50 AM - The Molesquirrels come and tell me the conditions outside. Apparently it is "fuck-nasty" further proving that I am at the center of the universe as the weather approximates the condition of my sleep-deprived mind. Thoughts of skipping Physics dance through my head, I know I'll just fall asleep in class. Even the sentient silly putty can tell me that, in it's own special, pleiomorphic way. I love you Sentient Putty. I shall call you squishy and you shall be mine, and you shall be my squishy.

8:43 AM - I finally got you Pikachu! Now you'll never run away! *collapses*

Doing Lines

I bet you thought I'd forgotten all about you. Well, fear not knaves! I have just the thing to brighten your day. A psychedelic background experience of utmost rave proportions. That's right, and remember acid is a clear liquid, so don't think Al is as dumb as all that. Unless you meant the real Al, in which case you might be right. *cackle!* Nothing like insulting a reader and a brother.

Another insult I'd like to throw out there, you AIM users sicken me. Learn your rules, or don't AIM. Remember, live by the book. Though, it's easier to say you live by the book than to do it. Can you do it? (And thank you to Mike's profile for the link.)

And lastly, I've thought up a contest! I know... not many of you care much. Heck, I'll be lucky to get an entry, let alone a winner. But here's the deal, you tell me where this song is from, and you get to make me draw something for you. Then I'll do my best to actually draw whatever that is, with some artistic interpretation (i.e. compensating for my inability to actually draw). All you've gotta do is listen to the song, and e-mail me with the answer. First person to get the answer in can make me their bitch... artistically. Unless you're hot, then you can make me your physical bitch, too.

Pure Imagination

See the title? Yeah... um, that's what you're going to have to do for the comic until tomorrow. But, it's not my fault, oh I swear it isn't. Please believe me! Trusst me, masster, yesss, trussst Camilo. Blame it on the new reviews, or more specifically the topic of the second review (that's the one on top). Yup, it's drained away my free time. Though, so has my new social scene, since I'm such a socialite and not a hermit. Promise! *cough*

To begin with, Psi U is a cool group of people (Hi PsiU!) and they've taken me in with open arms, and only one of the arms was holding a sharp object! I feel so loved. *sniffle* Anywho, I've been with PsiU in one sense or another a fair bit when I'm not playing FFXI or doing work. And there has been a lot of work. Don't think I'm slacking! I'm not, promise.

Comic will be up tomorrow, the drawing is finished. I think it was inspired somewhat by Calvin and Hobbes as while I was drawing it, I had a vivid image of the two of them dancing. This is my crappy version of the same. And aye, it is a continuing storyline. I hoped to be almost done with it by now, but things have intervened. Maybe Thanksgiving? No promises though. But it's a thought.

So, what's been getting done recently... I'm 11 with my Thief, I'm wearing Thigh-Highs (In game, you pervert. Though... hmmm...) And I've acquired a boomerang to chuck at monsters. Can it get much cooler? Yes it can! I can also rob the monsters and then run around them making fun of them. And yelling "I am the 1337357!" No... I'm kidding. Actually, I hate people with crappy names in Fantasy RPG's. If it's something slightly ridiculous, that's fine, but if it's "M4570R Ki113R" I'm gonna rip off your arm and bludgeon you to death with it. That's right. So, be fekkin' wary, ari?

Check out some fun link-ness from the classical internet jokes archive! We Drink Ritalin is for some crazy DDR-song subtitling. Moo? Yes indeed, that is a disturbed moo. And finally, the pride and joy of House K and Duke University, (with introduction) it's the Ignition video. Yes, these're all guys from my year. I'm impressed, personally. I know the whole lotta them - Brian, Matt, Isaac, Lam, John, Vince and the gal - SooJin. How cool is that? Very cool. You disagree? Well, I bet your school doesn't have a music video, so ha!

On a final note, have you ever been knocked off your moral high-horse, or knocked someone off? It feels kinda good, neh? Just a thought. And please! Remember to vote! Vote vote vote!

Comfortably Bum

Catch the title reference? Think Pink Floyd. I love these kinds of weeks. Nothing big to work on, just the regular hum of college class activity. This next week should be similar, except for Monday night. But Monday nights just stink in general. Too much work for Tuesday.

So, what happened this week... very little. Well, I'll go ahead and say nothing, and then qualify it. Nothing.. of interest to most people. On the other hand, if you happen to play Final Fantasy XI and play on the Midgardsormr server, well... keep your eyes open for an "entrepeneurial" Mithra. Yes... Mithra are only females, and aye, they appear to be furries. BUt they're the agile race! What else would I play if I wanted to be a thief! That's right. So, accept it! And call me not Flammie Cammie, Connie. *shakes fist!*

I've been slacking on the comics... but to be fair I did play a lot of FFXI yesterday. And I do have the comic almost ready. Let's see if I can't get this done, along with another one, by the end of this weekend. At the very least I'll have one finished. Worry not! Though, not tonight. I've got a formal to go to! Bwaha! It's the Chi-O formal, and it should be bucu fun! That's two dances in two weeks... I haven't done that since the days of the Viennese Ball last year. Well, despite the formal, I'll finish an FFXI review soon. I really like the game, though not necessarily for the same reason as others might. We'll see, after I review. And, are you forgetting something? Something you're supposed to do, at the bottom of the site? Voting! VOTE! I commaaaaand theeeee! *casts Command* Itch! *snicker* Sorry, inside joke. Hey... I wonder if we can get a D&D session in this weekend... *ponders*

Your Dance Brings Hope to the World!

Not a great shock to most of you, I'm sure - but I forgot to mention some things in my last post. Firstly, I caught Matrix Revolutions on Wednesday. Now... I've met a lot of people who hated it. Despised it, and could've done without it. But, I liked it. Actually, I loved it. Its my baby's daddy.

Aside from that, I'd also like to point out this great new "If I was Rich" feature. iPod speakers (brought to you by Fong)! I could play theme songs on them, and I would be the envy of every other little boy! I mean... *cough* every... other... shit. Ahem, "You will remember nothing!" There.

Did you all forget to keep voting by the way? This is my chance! I can shoot ahead in the rankings! Vote for meeeeee! (See link just below! It's that easy!)

Today was Awaaz, by the way, the South-East Asia performance show-case. It was very awesome, I thought, and if anyone who happened to perform in it checks here, I'd like to say, damn nice job. Props to Kavita, Fabienne, Shravan, Vince, and Nitin - and probably a lot of others I'm forgetting. Great jaerb! After Awaaz - impromptu DDR! There were five people in my tiny room playing DDR with me. I enjoyed it greatly, and it provided a good diversion.

Last bit of the update: Me And Danny were talking on AIM, and it was decided that certain dogs should not be bred, but they should be bread (her idea). "The irony of eating a hot dog on one would be worth any extra cost," were the exact words used at one point. Mmm... Dog-Bread. Apparently, according to her, cocker spaniels would be the best targets of this mass dog-hunt. *shrug* So be it! Have a good remainder of the weekend!

*EDIT: And enjoy this picture of Mike at Virginia Tech. It's drag-a-licious.*

I Beg Forgiveness!

So, I promised a comic every week, and two updates a week... well... these last two weeks have been sorta condensed. They've just been very busy, not necessarily work-wise (though that as well) but also just in the sheer volume of activities. I'll cover as much as I can remember here. Firstly, I want to apologize to Ron (who I don't believe checks this anyways) for today's comic. I'm sure DMB is actually very good, even though I really hate them.

The premise of the strip, by the way, involves my Halloween activities. Well, some of them anyways. To begin with, me, Al, SooJin and Fong Ming dressed up as the Homestar Runner crew. You can check these out (along with a picture of Weasel from home!) in the pictures list, which I'm sure you all know hot to get to? Well, I hope so, 'cause it's just one of those grotesquely large letters at the top right! Good good. Now, the group pic was sent into HR, so hopefully it'll get put up at some point. We shall see...

After dressing up and getting some great reactions from people on campus me, my bro, Fong, Molesquirrel, Connie, and John all drove down to Charlotte (2hrs) to hit the Dieselboy rave. Well, the Mapquest directions were screwy, but we made it there, and went to the club: Mystic 'twas called. Was one of those popular clubs with like... a line outside, bouncers, and things actually happening. Well, it was also a Halloween rave, so costumes were everywhere, including some really weird ones and really disturbing ones, which I hope to get to within the next few days comic-wise. Yes, I do intend to catch up on the one I missed, and since this is a story arc, I hope to get it done with in two weeks, so that it's not dragging on for a month and a half.

But that's not the point - the point is that it was awesome. I don't think I could adequately explain how 2.5 hours of dancing to techno makes up for more than 4 hours of driving, but it just did. Had you been there, you'd agree - as did everyone there. It was just that good. Too bad though - now I have another reason to like Techno. Curses! Then the next day was the ATH party, which had DDR and costumes, so I did that. I was one of the MacManus brothers - that is, I was a Boondock Saint. No pix of that though, sorry. Well, on the way back me and Danny ended up running int Jase, and one thing led to another and we jumped into a... *suspense* video game discussion! Yeah, it lasted til 4 am, but it was great. Good times for all.

After that it's basically been work every day until now. Two tests, assignments, papers, writings, etc. Nothing of particular interest, though I've discovered that I have the unique ability to make girls want to hug me through my writings. I learned this one in Creative Writing when I presented my Personal Essay. They all felt bad for the narrator, translated that to me, and felt like hugging me. Very weird, I must say. Also, I've discovered Dynasty Warriors 3 with Molesquirrel, so now I've got something to go around beating up people in. Today's the semiformal, so I'm gonna go out and have a great time. I'm going stag, I think, so hopefully I'll come back home with... um... well, maybe with some alcohol in my blood, we'll leave it at that. And nae, I won't get drunk probably. So nothing exciting, sorry.

Random tidbits... let's see... Storybook Love from Princess Bride is a good song, as are True and Windy. I now own a trenchcoat, which I love wearing even though I probably look weird. Also, there's some assorted links I wanted to share. Knights still exist apparently, and this one's challenged Osama. I don't know what that means nowadays, exactly, but wouldn't that be a good fight to see? It's debatable whether or not this is good to see, but enjoy the cat picture anyways. It is totally Gizmo from Gremlins. Ugly ass cute bastard cat! Heehee. Last thing I know I wanted to put up (I may be back later) was this interesting dancing creature, conveniently created by Duck Studios (no affiliation).

That's the bit I had for now. Enjoy the new stuff!

No Time, I'll Summarize

Short update just so I can feel like I'm not lying when I tell youse guys when I'm updating. Tomorrow I'll do a comic and put it up here. This weekend was amazingly awesome, including a rave and a party, and general awesomeness until Sunday. Sunday is hella work, and would be even worse if not for Fong Ming. Damn, you're a Bergey's life saver. Three cheers for the Chort! I mean... for Fong! (Who incidentally dressed up as the Chort on Friday night, more on that later.)

Have a good night, and remember - Be excellent to each other!

It's Been One Week

One week since I posted, my bad. Been busy. Let's begin with the basics! My parents came this weekend and much movie seeing was done. Saw Runaway Jury and Mystic River which were both great movies, deserving of their own reviews. Also, we saw Ben Stein, and he was really funny with a minimum of politics injected into the mix and a good bit of just general goodness. General hanging out with family was nice, and we actually went shopping. For the record, I'm going to be Homestar Runner for Halloween on Friday. And if possible, I'm going to hit up one of the brothers MacManus on Saturday to try out my newest fashion attire. Two parties on Saturday... how weird. I think it's a sign. And DDR Wednesday night! Yup, orchestrated by me and Lauren. Nice.

I intend to have a comic up soon, probably tomorrow, and until then enjoy the new quote and the reviews. Also, there's a new drawing up, inspired by Ross - or more correctly, demanded by Ross - for Carpe Noctem. For those curious, it's a Chia Horse. Aside from that, here's some links: Brought to you by Ars Technica here's a parody of the newest in Nokia's video game systems. Wait... since when did Nokia make games? Yeah... that's unfortunately the point. Two more links and I'm done - thanks to Bob for the newest in mamut life histories and kung fu stick figures. And on that note, we cue the music.

Live From the Vatican

Vatican City - Masturbation is like owning a Ferrari and driving only in first gear, a senior Catholic theologian said in an article published Wednesday.
"Driving only in first gear, not only do you prevent the Ferrari expressing its full power, but gradually you wear it out and thereby ruin a masterpiece of technology," Father Giordano Muraro wrote in the magazine Vita Pastorale.

I stole that from Mac Hall admittedly. But that's okay, because it's hilarious anyways. The fact that it's a priest only makes it funnier. The fact that its a priest talking about a Ferrari and masturbation... priceless.

Not much to add on here right now, though I do ask that maybe, just maybe, you vote for me, the Doom Duck, at Buzz comics. I wanna see if I can actually get anywhere on the listing. Man, that would be funny. Maybe I'd even start getting traffic for some reason. Heehee! And then I'd get ads up, and eventually make money off of this! Bwahahahaha! Ohhh, that'd be rich. In addition, didja notice the quotes? Yup! I dunno how often I'll change them, but I'll try to make sure they're either deep or really shallow. Aim for the extremes and all. I'm Anti-Tao!

Bum Ch Ch Bum Bum Bum Ch Ch

Ay ay ay. What a busy coupla days... not that I didn't find the time to put up the sumo pix anyways, but yeah... very busy. But today, oh the glory! I hit the gime for the first time in two weeks (work + Fall break) and then did some serious updating. Notice the quote? Bwahahaha! And also, please take care to notice the new comic replete with backgrounds and even some light effects. I'm slowly learning my way through Photoshop! Heheh. Special thanks goes out to Fong for helping me figure out how to delete white space from a layer (Magic Wand).

In all honesty, the day sucked until around 6:20PM. That's when my psych and Physics classes were over. No Physics lab allowed me to get my work done for Creative Writing, and then Creative Writing (which is actually a fun class, but still a class) took me through til 6:20. Before then, I might add, I had the pleasure of picking up my car which I'd forgotten to move for the football game on Saturday. Thus... the kind traffic citation fairies (crazy bee-otch) left me a present: $175 fine and a towing. Stupid bee-otch. At least if I saw some of the money that came from Duke selling the spots we paid for, I'd feel better. As is, they're just ripping us off... twice! Those parking passes are expensive considering it takes 10 minutes just to get to your car. Harumph. And as a final note, my parents're coming in this weekend for Parents Weekend - all plans are pending.

I don't have any links for you guys right now... well, maybe just the one: I'm sure you recognize it, but it's just so much fun! Oooooeeeeoooooo.... Oh! Heheheh, I lied. One more link: this is apparently Scott Adam's off week, so instead he's tricked other cartoonists into doing his work for him. I recommend checking it out - Yesterday's was Get Fuzzy! Ari, now I'm done.

Pirates of the D&DDR

Wanna talk about your dorky weekends? I may have everyone beat, so be warned! Friday began with Oktoberfest which involved primarily - wall climbing, gladiator fighting, sumo wrestling and henna tatooing. Well, Friday night was D&D, the second session of the semester! What? Yeah. We've fallen behind. Anywho, I think it went well, and my brother's finally been introduced. It was a mechanics-light session - in other words, it was primarily role-play which I hope went over well with everyone. They're hitting the next large portion of... well, combat. So I guess it'll make it a better mix. Man... all I'd need is a Dungeon Master t-shirt and I'd be a loser. Or... yeah... more of a loser anyways.

We also watched Clerks that night at midnight, for free. Very good movie! I'd seen it once before and thoght it was good, but not great. This time though - great movie. It helped that we were watching on a big movie screen rather than a tiny monitor image. Salsa shark!

Saturday began very laid back, much sleep and chilling was had. Then - DDR at the 1001 Nights Dance Marathon! Good times for all, everybody dancing! Bear dancing! Ahem... anywho. There was a lot of fun to be had and I met some cool people (if any of you happen to check here for some reason, hi!). That was from 6-10, after which commenced the crazy mad happy Pirates of the Caribbean! It was jam packed full of people, and since I was the first to get there I nabbed 10 tickets for everyone I knew was going to show up. Worked out perfectly! Huzzah! It still kicks ass, and a much contested point about a certain chain and rope slide by Jack Sparrow was finally solved (he uses the slack in the middle! It is totally doable, and he does it!) Ahem... This was followed by F-Zero for the Cube at Mike's room, along with the realization that all my equipment brought to the 1001 Nights dancing was being swept away because it ended early. Fortunately, Albert had most of it. Phew.

Sunday... sucked. It was all work, no play. But, otherwise a great weekend.

Now, onto the update! I'm tossing up some pictures of the Sumo wrestling (as promised and thank you Cheng) and two new reviews, one from over break and one from Thursday night where I was treated to the Wiz, along with my bro. That's all the story told.... for now! *Ominous music*. Expect a comic to be put up on Wednesday or so, I'd do it now but I've fallen behind in my work despite my day of activity yesterday. Which means... it might be up sooner than expected. What better way to do work? Heehee. Anyways, have a good day, faithful reader.

A Little R&R

Man... what a nice break. You know those breaks, where you don't really do anything? But at the same time, you do things? Wait... that made no sense. Well, you know those breaks where you just sleep, watch tv, and chill? Yeaaaah, that's better. That's what Fall Break was like. I hung out with my family, ate some awesome family food and rebuilt my sleep reserve. I also played ping pong, tennis and Utopia. Wait, what is Utopia you might ask? Well, its a game Mike H. (heceforth, MoleSquirrel) showed me that's totally free online. Its all Kingdom management - growing, maintaining, militarizing, etc. It's a lot of fun. I'm still just starting, but by tomorrow I should be able to attack something... or defend against something. Well, I'll be able to do something, anyways. And then they'll feel the wrath of my Undead force! Bwahahaha! *insert evil cackle of choice*.

Oh, we also saw several movies. Started with Intolerable Cruelty, followed by Out of Time and then finally Kill Bill. All highly enjoyable, and I fully intend to review them later this week. I swear! Don't look at me like that. See, my new plan of action: one update that includes a comic, and another update that includes whatever I can find on top of my desk at the time. Er... that is... a review or pictures.

You may be asking - if reviews come later this week, then what comes with this update? Why, a new comic! Damn straight! And I pity the fool that doesn't check my updates! *growl*. My plans for tomorrow, barring a fight with Rocky Balboa, include seeing the opening of The Wiz. You did remember to get tickets? They're selling quickly! It's insanity! So, buy them all! *announcer voice-over* "Gotta buy them all, gotta buy them all!"

And now, for something completely different. Did you like Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze? Then you'll love it with this school mascot! Also, for any dorks out there, I recommend this quiz because yes, you're curious. More dorkiness? Of course, why not? Holy crap! There's more loser-ness in your body? Yes, yes there is. Aright, I think I'm done for now. Whew...

Anyhow, I hope everyone had an awesome break and got a ton of home-food (mmmmm) and rest (underrated). And whatever you do, don't post on the tagboard!

Whole Lotta Love

Well, a lot's happened since last time. Might I recommend you learn the definition of boba before you read the wonderful new comic? Expect a continuation to the story, by the way. And I can only think of one way to go! Speculation? Well- thats why the tagboard is there! Speculate while I artistrate my next substrate into... comic form. Yes.

In addition, enjoy the new set of pix! (Click on the letters at the top right to choose comics, drawings, and pictures) Some of them you may recognize - for instance, my brother Al is in there. Others... well, you may remember my night of partying a few weeks back - well, two are from then when I stopped by Eileen's room. And then there's some assorted ones.

You may be wondering about the squirrel pic! Well - I saved a wee baby squirrel from a group of cats on Wednesday. It was being hit back and forth and whatnot, so I shooed the cats picked up the squirrel and took it as far as it'd let me: to the nearby trashcan. It huddled there and made squeaking noises while barely moving. I was afraid I'd gotten to it too late, but nae - its back leg was injured from the cats (presumably) and so it didn't get around much. It stayed there for a few hours, brought it some acorns with E to see if it wanted them. Then I came out after it'd started raining, and squirrely was gone. Hopefully it got to a tree, and it's not that the cats got to it. I think the squirrel's safe though, so all is well. Any opinions on "interfering with nature" and you can send it to me via e-mail, or just tag it (so useful!).

Other'n that, it's time for Fall Break, which means rest and relaxation at home. Ahhh.... today I chilled with Mike, Connie, TC, and Will. We played Taboo, and I enjoyed Silky-Pillow (my shiny pillow friend), even if she was a ho. Taboo is a ton of fun with that group. And its always funny to see what kind of clues people can react correctly to - who'd've thought, "Stickers when you're little, kinda cool" would result in "scratch'n'sniff?" Well, it does. So ha! There was also much pool today, though it wasn't an on day for me. That's ari, still a blast to play regardless. Good times. Thanks!

Now, here's a weird event. I now know of three people (Elly, Katherine, Katie) who have looked at my site, and I don't know. And moreso - Elly contacted me! In the words of Homestar Runner, "Weiwd." Elly seems cool, and I wanna wish them a warm welcome. Ahoy people from Maine! We come in peace! Post on the tagboard! I was bucu impressed by this fact - almost like I was getting a fan base of some sort. How cool would that be! I also happened to hit my peak when I found out Mike (Ruhlin) was wasting time on my site instead of doing homework. If my site can beat homework, I know it's going places.

Some assorted interesting links: Slick Dealsapparently has free 'zines and awesome deals. Thanks to Fong and Mike H. for the heads up. Also, check out this Onion editorial from a pirate courtesy of John. As games continue - I'm interested in checking out the new Simpsons game, which is getting good reviews, and I intend to hit up Utopia a free online kingdom sim which Mike H. showed me. Anything else... Oh! Yodaboy's got some mad crazy drawing skills I wish I could imitate. Instead, you're stuck with my version of cool drawings. But to contrast, check out his site. I like the Ronald McDonald and Super Maria the best, but they all rock. Finally, The Wiz is playing in a few weeks, you can make a showing right? Catch your very own Eileen on the piano! Buy tickets, very cheap. Very good! And... I think that's everything I'd accumulated.

I intend to update over the weekend, or at least when I get back. You'll find out if I do, I'm sure. Chao! Have a great break! OH! And, what would you think about a quote of the week or some such at the top? Worth it? Not worth it? I'd poll... but why not just have you tell me on the Tagboard! (Who loves the tagboard!)

Also Makes Julienne Fries!

My dream's come true! I now have a tagboard! I also condensed the comics, drawings and pictures into one nice viewer page. If I could find out how to make the iFrame blend in with the background, I'd be ecstatic. Heheh. You'll also notice resizing with your browser on all the pages - I think its an improvement, but if you're having problems or preferred it the other way, send me an e-mail so I can find out the overall verdict. And remember to leave some lovin' on the tagboard! Everytime a person tags, a Camilo gets his wings. Don't forget!

So, I've been rather busy. I'm writing creatively now, which is fun despite its class-wise connotations. I'm feeling rusty on pool for the work related reasons I've mentioned, but on the plus side I've still been able to chill and waste time updating the site, as you can see. This weekend is Fall break, which should be awesome. I get to go back home again, and just relax. Hopefully I'll get some lasagna, too. My mom was kind enough to send some down with my bro this last weekend, and I snarfed it down faster than Robokopf can say "dildomissile!".

Let's see, what have I seen of interest recently... I certainly hope you've all been keeping up on your other online comics, right? I mean, I know mine's awesome and all, what with the infrequent updates and inconsistent art, but there's others out there. Might I recommend the Silhouette archives? And Shaw Island! Both quite good, though someone should start drawing them again as soon as her schedule isn't chock full of stuff. Soon.... *cackle!*

I promise another strip sometime this week, by the way. Probably another one over the weekend. I have the scripts, they're made - I swear! It's just... I don't have the time to draw my hilarious ideas. Yeah, that's it! Ahem. Well, enjoy the new site, enjoy what little linkage I gave you, and enjoy the review of My Sassy Girl! A great Korean movie Fong and SooJin showed me over the weekend.

Linkage

Just thought some links were appropriate! Here's an Elizabethan curse generator, you warped rump-fed varlot! And here's a Homerian equivalent, too. Shame on you if you thought I meant anything other than Homer Simpson.

Speaking of Simpsons, who remembers when Homer faked his death? Anyone? Good! Yeah, with his mom. Well, apparently that actually happens to people. Weird neh? Anyhow, that's all the tale told. Happy Birthday Katie, Kate, Blatt. All late, but all mentioned on here. Huzzah!

New And Improved!

Yes, its the beginning of a new era in comics here at Schizoid. And yes, its true. Tell me whatcha think, I worked hard to make sure I started up to snuff. (For the record, by the way, Aniston and Pitt bought Segways for all their friends, the bastards) See the tracing? The lack of a grayish background? Its all been made as per your instructions, dark master... I mean, Cthulhu... err... shit.*runs*
So, anywho... what have I been up to. Ah, right, nothing. Damn... Well, I have been playing a lot of pool. Me, Connie and Mike in particular are playing every day, and we're definitely getting better. Today was sort of a highlight for me 'cause I cleared the table in one shot. Hadn't done it before, it was very awesome. Heh. The Colasian team (Me and Connie) managed to win most of the games today, so it went well. Not to mention that pool is a great distractor from college life, which is sometimes rather necessary (cough, today, cough... stupid Physics).

Anyhow, have you seen the new LoTR trailer? Yeah, I'm late in mentioning it, but that's 'cause I'm a slow updater. Well, you should see it, you'd BETTER see it. In fact, if you don't see it me and my "posse" will come to your house and beat the bejeezus out of you. That's right, you heard me. The Bejeezus. You've been warned.

Quick, Efficient German Sex

First off, enjoy the new comic. For what it's worth, it ends the first story arc I started. Only... 4 months later... yeah. Ahem. On the plus side, I've about kept up with my weekly update, rie? Anywho...

Optimus Prime is Jewish! What a stunning revelation. Also, a new Matrix trailer you've got to see because it rocks! School of Rock, with Jack Black, is a very funny movie. Pool is awesome. Pauly Dogs kick arse. Charles has some awesome armor. Self-made sushi is good, but hard to wrap. There's this cool motorized bike. And our galaxy is eating another one. I think that covers all my bases. Anyone have something to add? Anyone?

Oh, right, review for School of Rock will exist eventually. Now, leave me be, ye hounds of Satan! (Why can't I draw like that again?)

Hark Hark! Hearkened He

Man, do you remember Ren and Stimpy? Some of those were really good, eh? Actually, a lot of them were really bad. But you know who's never bad? The Simpsons! Which, conveniently enough, brings me to my next topic: Nancy Cartwright came here to talk two weekends ago, and I somehow forgot to mention it here. Lemme tell you though, if you didn't LOVE the Simpsons, you'd've hated seeing her talk. On the other hand, if you thought the Simpsons was awesome, you were totally freaked out by the fact that Rod, Todd, Bart, Nelson and Ralph were all coming out of one person's mouth. F-F-F-FREAKED me out, man. She was an awesome lady, and actually managed to make me think about things, and I mean more than, "Holy feck, its Neltorobaralph" although I did think that as well.

Moving on from what happened two weeks ago, this's been a busy week. The weekend was rather not-exciting, though I did go see Chicago with Eileen and I also saw Totoro with her. Man, that's an awesome movie. If only I could have a Neko-bus. Then, all would be right with the world.

Oh, you know what... I lied about this weekend. It was actually quite the interesting Friday night. I hope noone's reading this who might find out about my elicit activities, but 8 shots of Bacardi Limon and two cups of Everclear punch will make you do some weird stuff. In my case, I turned into Captain Jack Sparrow, albeit for brief moments in time. Yeah... *ahem* and if anyone who's reading that feels it shouldn't be true, for whatever reason. Feel free to pretend I'm telling you about my friend's Friday night. Honestly, that's the first time I've done that here. Yup. So, no being funny about it.

Let's see... Oh, right. I have some interesting things to share with you guys, if you don't mind some assorted links. Firstly, I'd like to show off this interesting Solid Snake video. Have Quicktime and regular time, will load. Worry not. Here's an interesting Night of the Living Dead simulation. You'll note that, much like in horror movies, the people don't think out their movements, they're just randomly determined. And finally, might I recommend you take a peek at Carpe Noctem's new site? And... I think that's all I've got link wise, for now. I've also got some fun quotes, here and there. I'll leave those off until I can think of them again. Stupid brain! *shakes fist*

Been A Long Time Since

Its been an interesting two weeks since last I posted. Sorry for the long delay. Non-intentional, I assure you. Well... let's see what I can relate. It was my birthday and I got an iPod, which rocks. To boot, I should point out that Jase and Kev rock by sending me some Soul Calibur 2 love for the Cube. When was this? Why, it was on the day of our first D&D session for the semester! Huzzah! The session, now with 3.5 rules, was cool. I messed up some rulings and got semi confused in combat, but all in all went well. Unfortunately, its gonna be a bit before we get another session in. Damned busy-ness!

Huh, other'n that.... saw The Pianist, which is a sad movie - albeit not as sad as Schindler's List. Also, have you ever played this drinking game called Suck and Blow? It involves picking up a napkin with your mouth by sucking in air, then passing it to someone else's mouth by having them suck it from your mouth. Did that make sense? Anywho, its interesting, I'm sure. Once I've played the actual game, I'll inform you about how it goes.

As for slightly bigger news than drinking games, Hurricane Isabel has decided to hit Durham after all. That means classes are cancelled today after 3 (my last class ends at 2:40) and it also means that I got really wet and cold for lack of really warm clothes. Nooo good! The wind outside's pretty righteous sounding, and I'm definitely in comicing mood since I managed to think of some for the hurricane that'd probably work best around now. So, that's my evil plan of action right now. As opposed to studying for my Bio test on Monday or my Physics test on Tuesday. You understand, right? Of course you do. Anyways, that's all for now.

September

Quote of the Day: "Now pigs going at it... that's something to see." ~ Social Psychology teacher

I think I'm going to set up a window for "quotes of the day"

Damn... looks like I'm going to have to go for the archives sooner rather than later. Well, I'll put them off anyhow, because I just really don't have the time right this moment. Promise, I'll archive this up and make things look pretty again. I doubt anyone goes back that far to read them anywho, but you never know. And hey, once I get the tag board up I can ask questions here and hopefully have someone answer me. As opposed to the glum silence I get right now. I still get all jiggly when someone mentions something from here. Ah... *jiggle*.

The weekend was a lot of fun, very chill. Played a lot of ping pong and caught up somewhat on DDR. It's my and my dad's birthdays this Wednesday, and my parents're coming in to celebrate it then. I doubt it's interfering with anything, and it'll be neat to see them... again. Heh, well, my bro's first weeks of college, it's nice to have them visit as much as possible. I'm not sure, in the least, what kind of presents I'm getting. I know things I suggested, but whether any of those are in the works is another story altogether. We'll see come Wednesday!

As for right now, Mayer concert is tonight, and it should be a blast. I don't think anything could make it bad.

Wow, talk about time flying. Two days ago I was writing this. Well, I have this first, regarding the newest in Japanese laziness. Not that I mind... I could use all the help I can find on parallel parking. The Mayer concert was awesome. I found I'm not a fan of Counting Crows, though they had two or three songs I liked. In particular, I didn't like the lead signer's voice... maybe its just live, but it sounded... not good. Mayer though was awesome, "I saw Eminem giving things out to the crowd, and I thought to myself, 'Hey I'm rocking, too," so to show how bling bling I am, I'm giving away this Epson Laserjet Color Printer..." Wow... impressive! Its a $270 value right there. And guess what, Mayer also mentioned Transformers, GI Joe, Ninja Turtles, He-Man, the forest moon of Endor, Autobots, and Decepticons (I know they're Transformer subsets, but everyone knows Transformers, how many remember the factions' names?). And Mayer can play real guitar, not just the strumming parts while he sings. I always wondered about that, since frontmen often can't play guitar that well. Anyhow, huge success though I recommend someone who knows how to get places navigate next time, because I'm lost.

Other'n that, its my Birthday today! Yay! Heh, I'm 20, which is young for a Junior in college. No liquor for me yet! Nosirree. Though, yes iPod! Very much yes iPod. Very awesome. And my parents came into town to say whassup and happy birthday, which was also very cool as otherwise I might think peoples forgot. Still early in the day though. Hmm... what else... nothing much. Ooh! Finally got the American Idol merchandise to their respective owner, and watched Tom and Jerry, which I hadn't seen in four months or so. Good stuff.

"Don't let it bring you down, its only castles burning, just find someone who's turning, and you will come around."
