It's been Two Weeks...

Since you got to see, a new character and lungs that are spicy. Twelve days since the awful fall, where I stopped posting comics and updates and... um, all.

But now I'm back, and it was a very successful comic, I think. At least, the process was. I doodled on the Laura-provided Wacom tablet, got it all to look good fairly quickly, updated one character's look, and... NAMED THAT SAME CHARACTER! That's right. The fellow in the light blue shirt and the spiffy hat is none other than AL! I know, you're impressed. I certainly am. You may remember Al from such previous adventures as "Obscure Zelda Reference" and "Thinking the Word Aquafina is Funny." (These're now available on a Limited Collector's Edition Box Set that includes a "Making of..." Documentary, and all my old comics. Only $29.95. Only Cash is accepted. Or send me your credit card and ID.)

Also, I thought this was an incredibly well-documented tale, and I think anyone reading this will enjoy it muchly. It's creepy and entertaining. It's also conspicuously goat-sex free. Always a plus.

Anyways, sorry for the break in comics, vote for me again, and read the comic. It'll inspire me to make more, yeah?

A Jewish President?!

With props to Jase for finding this, and posting it somewhere where I could steal it. And yes - Optimus Prime IS Jewish. And vote for me! I need votes, to keep myself on top in the Buzzcomix. It's a new month, so it means I've got a chance to catapult forward. But not through time - for that I'd need a Delorian. Which I don't have.

EDIT: I also wanna add this wonderful list of feats for your, um, campaign... yeah, it's a little late for the election jokes, but what the hey. Enjoy!

Tycho's Nightmare

Look! Continuity!

That's right, my promise has been kept! There's now a comic, and an update. But there's something else going on right now, too. That's right! The election! You'd better have voted, or you shall feel my wrath! I'd appreciate it if you voted for Kerry, but as long as you've voted you won't feel wrath. Just mild displeasure. Unless Bush wins. Then I shall strike with great hatred, but not at you. Probably just at... my pillow, or perhaps a chicken burrito.

A chicken burrito may feel my wrath tonight! So, keep that in mind as you watch the news. Though, of course, that's assuming anyone would check this site while there's election coverage. Which is a bit of a hallucinogen inspired dream on my part. But I'll pretend for now.

He'sa Da Frickin' Pope!

Another comicless update! It's feeling like the old days now, isn't it? But no worries. The next update should have a comic attached to it. This one just has a story. The story of a man bent on justice, sworn to catch sinners and with a vow to make them pay for their sins. A man on a quest... for repentance.

Pope Justice! A pope granted super-human powers by his benevolent and peace-loving deity, so that he could kick some sinning ass! Thus was Pope Justice born, and with his Pope Hammer he fights crime wherever it can be found! Criminals the world over fear the sound of screeching tires as his Pope Mobile jets around the corner, a battle cry of "Repent!" (or "Repent mothafuckers!" if he's ever played by Samuel L. Jackson) on his lips. And thus do criminals flee in terror.

He's also the guy I dressed up as thanks to suggestions from Duncan and Cheng while we traversed the costume store in Northgate. I find him to be very entertaining. And that's really all that matters. Oh... that, and that you find it entertaining. Otherwise I'd just keep a journal and a scrap book. Which is what I'll do with other pictures on my camera, because they're not really something the public cares to see. Or... do they? No, right - they don't Nevermind.

Also: some of you may think there's far too many pope pictures there now. That perhaps Pope Justice is a little full of himself. But you'd be wrong. He's full of the Holy Spirit... of vengeance! I mean, c'mon - he'sa da frickin' Pope!

A Ninja or a Superhero

Those're my two ambitions in life. Technically, I could combine the two. But let's face facts... one can't have everything. Unless you're spiderman wearing black tights. 'cause then you DO have everything.

So it's been a while since I had an update that didn't include a comic. Thus, I present this to you! Which is not a comic. Instead, it's that video I mentioned last time: A Ninja Pays Half My Rent. It's the story of true love, ninjitsu, and citrus. All under the pretense of a roommate situation. I think it speaks to the poet in all of us. Truly.

Also, not to say that I'm partial or anything, but I think my side's pulling ahead. Nothing to write home about, but it's something. At the same time, for those of you "undecideds" or what-have-you, I present an argument in John Kerry's defense. It's fairly solild, despite the fact that Kerry's apparently a douche bag. But I guess we all have our faults. Just because my faults are charm, pizzazz, and a sexy Hispanic accent doesn't mean I'm any better than he is...

Well, actually, that probably would make me kinda cool, but alas they're not real faults anyways. I don't even have a tan anymore. How sad. On a positive note, I do have Firefox now. Which is apparently all the rage as far as Internet Explorers go. Man... what a crappy positive. I'm gonna go lament by working on a new comic. Enjoy your weekends!

I'm a Butterfly!

Parents weekend? Yup. What's that mean? Devil's Eve, Bali Hai, and coolness! Late update? You betcha!

But it was mainly because of the Sims 2. Damned bastards at Maxis have sucked me into their demented doll house yet again! I just made the Deus family: Venus, JC, Bud and Thor. I'm sure they'll all be the best of friends. So now I'm the god of a house of gods. Oh the entertainment possibilities! And, after doinking with another family before, I think I've figured out how to get into medical school! I have to start as an EMT, and work on my cleaning skills until I'm the best cleaner there is! And then I'll be a doctor! It's so simple.

But then, I guess games don't always translate too well to real life. Which I imagine could cause problems. (Check out that trickiness! The sentence flows into the comic topic! I must be getting better at this.) We'll see though. The Sims 2 method is much more humane than the "take the MCAT and suffer you fool" method that seems to be prevalent today.

That's all I really have for you guys right now, though I recommend trying to find a link to "A Ninja Pays Half My Rent" which is awesome, and has ninjas. But it's hard to find a working link right now, so we'll see what I can do about that. If you want to propel me forward through the world of "link searching" I recommend VOTING! Man, I'm pimping this out harder than ... a pimp pimps things out. But that doesn't mean you should vote any less!

As I've mentioned before, I was in Georgia Tech to visit Laura last weekend, and one of the PsiU brothers there, Ryan, took some pictures. So, here I give you two of them, for your enjoyment. I'd be the one in the red tshirt. Oh, and the MALE. In case there was any doubt. In other news, would you believe Duke got a DDR machine for the Devil's Eve party on Friday night? It was astounding, and unbelievable. I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Only I was more like a Butterfly and the flame was techno music and flashing lights. Man... I think I just said I was a butterfly. I'm gonna run now.

Just Try'n Stop Me!

Aha! I bet everyone of you was out there saying to yourselves, "There's no way he's going to update this week. What with fall break, he hasn't even had a chance! I'm not voting for HIM again." Well, ha. All youse can look at my new comic and give me money for losing your bets. I imagine that's how it works in this case anyways. Otherwise, so help me, I'll be a little bastard and put up one of those Paypal things and tell you I'm going to make money off of this. Don't tempt me!

So, Fall Break was nice. I'm doing those applications things that medical students seem to have to do. Bummer, eh? Other'n that, I watched Trigun, finally completing the Molesquirrel cycle of DVDs. So, if you're reading this - they will be sent back to you soon.

Some commentary: Dagger is now an active club. Me and Jase are the Co-DMs (Presidents) and we've started slogan creation. "Dagger: We'd be Longsword, but we didn't want to overcompensate." That's one of mine. We'll see where these go, but so far we almost have enough for a t-shirt. Also, if you've got a duke email, and you're interested in joining the email list just write to Majordomo with "subscribe dagger" in the body. And don't be a foo - take off the quotation marks when you write it. I'll have none of that. The process, by the way, was "fun and exciting", and far too much like an RPG for it to be coincidental. There'll be a story for that eventually.

Also, I've gotten some comments regarding similarities between these people in the comic, and real people. Now, the one fella is definitely "me" albeit not an accurate representation, he's somewhat close. The guy with the "curly hair" or "the bumpy hair and the light blue shirt" is a facsimile of my brother. The girl in the red shirt was "Jill" from the original characters conceived long ago for a newspaper comic, and slowly redrawn because I lack drawing skills. She isn't anybody, really. Some say she looks like Cheng. But, nope. It's not. The new skin colors added to that impression, I think. As for the new guy, he's quasi-Mike. Looks nothing like him, except that he's white and has a goatee (which Mike had/has). That's really about it. None of them, by the way, has a name.

For some more general news, the Red vs. Blue people are doing a Sims 2 based series called The Strangerhood. They've got one-a them teasers out, if you're interested. Ah! And the kind fella at Nodwick.com has linked to this awesome tool for creating character portraits. It's nifty, and has enough variety to make a fairly decent representation of everyone. Note the free versions, that's key. Well, that's all I've got for you all. I shan't let you suck me dry! And no, I don't mean that to be a sexual reference. Sickos.

Dagger

So, there'll be a more official posting regarding this later, but for the record: the Duke Association for Greater Gaming Education and Recreation (DAGGER) is now an official Duke chartered organization. So, if you're looking for one of the co-presidents, look no further! I am one of them. The process was both entertaining and rigorous. I never knew DSG made you defeat 10 orcs to start a club. But such is the way of things.

Also, do enjoy the new comic, it is filled with joy and affection, as well as video game references (one old, one new), and a complicated dialogue path in the last panel (just follow it logically, switching from person to person.) I'm unable to muster the energy necessary to draw a lot of people, so I settled for a small class with a lot of random brown space. I think it gets the effect across.

This is another update on schedule, by the way. Not sure if you'd noticed or not. I'm fairly proud of myself. So should you... be. I'd ask you to vote (there's an incentive now! It is both useful and rare!) but at this moment their site is down. Regardless, try to vote, and see what happens. At worst you lose about 5 seconds. At best you gain protection from the 10 plagues of the Apocalypse (version 2.0, as per the Tagboard discussion).

Peace out! Chill! Increase your creativity via alcoholic substances and placing your feet in ice cold water! Man... way too many tests recently. I'm going back to study.

Kitten!

The next comic, I'm afraid to say, is a straight video game comic. I'm still trying to think of a way to make it enjoyable for everyone, so we'll see if I can do that. Consider it a challenge, on my part, and against myself. So, if you see me beating the crap out of... me. Well, you know the reason.

In order to make things cuter on the site (though I know what you're thinking, that guy on the main banner is so cute. Why, I'd do him right now. Or at least, that's what I would think if that guy wasn't me. And if he wasn't a guy, too.) Anyways, this is also a lesson on click-o-nomics. Check out the viewer and find the pictures list. It's tough, because my website design is neither stylistic nor intuitive. In fact, it's somewhat spastic. But nonetheless, click on one of the letters at the top left to find the pictures, and the drawings. And in particular, check out the picture of Spike! She visited me this last weekend, along with her lovable owner - Laura! In the vernacular of Internet, circa 2000 - the winnar is me.

Ooh! And check out the new link at the bottom - tells you my rank on Buzzcomix. And even cooler: click on it and vote! As an oddity of the system, I'm actually ahead of some really funny people. So, clearly, you should try to make that last for a while. See, the more you vote, the more people click on it, and thus the more they vote. It's an awful cycle of Camilo-ego-boosting. And once I have enough followers, I expect it'll become a god. I'm just following D&D rules on this one, folks. It only makes sense.

Voting Whore!

Now, I know I don't want to spoil youse guys - but I want to start this voting thing off with a bang. New month! I just checked, everyone in my "bracket" has ZERO votes. That means I can actually, for a brief time, jump into first. That means, maybe, some stranger will click on me.

So, in the spirit of voting, I visit upon you a new comic. Enjoy! Also, bucu thanks to the people who're visiting from my away messages and profile - this Gaming Ganesha's gotten more random thumbs up than my other comics. I'll pretend it's a streak of success, or something. Thus, you can enjoy the productivity that leaps out from this success, perhaps spawning some sort of comic habits that will lead to further glory and fame.

Or not. One or the other, neh? Either way though, you can enjoy these text adventures I yoinked from Nodwick. It's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! C'mon, you know you wanna check it out. You have work to do, and face it - this beats homework. Just like everything else.

Like a Ninja

I like to keep you people off guard. Never knowing what to expect, and unsure if I'm going to suddenly update something, or do nothing but play video games (and study! I mean, just study.. yeah, study.) This means if you're trying to assassinate me based on my internet activity (perhaps with a poison that spreads via the USB port to my mouse - I'm sure there's a movie with something similar somewhere) you'll be unsuccessful. Because my movements are unpredictable... (See Title).

What I'm trying to say is, I was lying about a new comic Wednesday. I've got two parts of papers and a test on Thursday. The very idea was ludicrous. And of course, since I'm making a big deal of it, you all (all four of you) know something is up. And you're right! Check out the changes - now people who don't have time to click on random things can also tell what each of the links on the left do! And the characters are there! All three of them. But... what does that last one mean? A question mark! Forsoothe, a new character cometh.

Is it the one from that new comic you hopefully checked out? Nae, then I'd've just made the icon already wouldn't I have? (Unless I was lazy. Which I am, but that's not the reason here anyways.) Nope, I just want to throw in a fourth character a little later. Once I can draw them. Actually, that's probably the main reason they're not out here already. But, for now enjoy the new linking pictures, and the new comic. Do not enjoy Crack. It's bad for you. Seriously man.

Oh! And vote for me. I mean, if I'm making new comics, you could maybe click on the link at the bottom left yeah? It's like... 5 seconds. And if each of you voted just once each time you visited, I'd be so far up. I'd be within the ranks of the elite! Or, the kind of elite. And then people would click on me! Wouldn't that be grand? (It would be grand. *squint menacingly*)

We Are Appeased

Some of you, apparently, have visited recently. Thus, the psychotic gods who dwell here have been appeased.

So, enjoy the slight modifications! Yup. I reckon you've just seen the greatest change in the site since the viewer was installed and confused everyone involved (Just click on the letters! They show you things.) So, here's a list: the links page was updated a little in regards to the code. A space, too, was added into the viewer and review pages, and it should be mentioned that the title bar at the top of the main page was normalized by "the man." I'd hope you noticed the new title, lest you suffer my wrath. We're now officially Schizoid Productions, and the comic characters have been skin normalized-ish. That's right, with my artisitic powers I have acquired a tan, starting..... now. I feel like I should add a fourth character for the pale skin color. It only seems right. I might add that finding decent skin colors is kind of a bitch. Stupid things are hard to make when you're color dumb, like me.

A comic will be posted come Wednesday, and it's actually already drawn! The nice thing is, with the Wacom Electrical Drawing Doohickey (TM) I can say it's drawn and actually mean it's done and ready for me to link to. Before if I said it was drawn it meant I still had to scan it, clean it up electronically, color it, and then post it. Now, that's all done. So when I say Wednesday, I mean Wednes-fucking-day. Take that.

By the way! Eileen's site has hit an astounding 10k hits. And I'm wondering, where are my pals at? I've got connections, surely they'd be checking out my site, too. So I go and look, and no. You're all losers (ironically -but not really-, I mean all of those who don't check my site are losers, and therefore those of you reading this are excluded, and those included will never know). I'm at a measly 5k. Thus, as repayment I ask for your votes on Buzz Comix. I've fixed the image, so hopefully people'll see it and be astounded, and thus visit the site. We shall see. But, regardless, you should vote below and click on that link.

Prepare!

You thought you were rid of me by not visiting?! Fiends! Feel my randomly linked reckoning! Firstly, I shall confuse you with this sound-byte from the past! Next, you shall suffer my Incredible Edible Internet! And for the finishing blow.... Viva Painful Piano Variety! I hope you've felt my wrath, and felt it keenly.

If that's not enough of a reckoning, I present to you my first comic in a while. I hope this one is a slight improvement. I've honed my skill through countless hours of research. I've read archives of Real Life and PhD. I've studied the Web-Arts repeatedly, watching Flash animations and all the Red vs. Blue episodes available to the most thorough of questors. I have played Leisure Suit Larry and Space Quest, flushed frozen hamsters and bowled down maniacal purple tentacles. I think... I'm ready.

Not a Conspiracy

Firstly, I'm not a conspiracy theorist person. I do love the idea of it, and I agree that it's possible (though highly unlikely) that the conspiracies could be true... but anyways, here's a fun presentation for everyone to look at. Obviously, someone could have made up all of this information, and that'd be the easiest way to get a conspiracy started. After all... I'm certainly not going to go around and look up these facts, and I imagine that any other viewer (except for the strangest and perhaps most obsessive) will do the same.

But, let's give it some slack - let's assume the facts are all real. That's some weird shit, neh? It makes you stop and think about it some - obviously there's a much greater focus on the World Trade Center, it was a much greater tragedy. But the Pentagon's plane seems to have done almost nothing to the Pentagon itself, and the fact that the Pentagon was hit seems to have been set aside as a non-important side-effect of planes hitting the WTC. I don't even remember if G-Dub has mentioned the Pentagon hit in his speeches, just the WTC.

Anyways, just a thought. After all, by definition a conspiracy is something that you can't prove, and only a few people know about. Otherwise it'd just be a thing that happened.

Vortex

So, this year I've acquired, via the power of a decent sized single, the ultimate in trans-dimensional voids: a Dork Space. Let me explain, no wait... that would take too long. I will summarize.

I have a nice 10x10 space with a tv and fridge in it. A normal person might place a futon here (though that would take some doing) or perhaps an area for eating and the like. But no, I (and many many of my friends) am a dork. Actually, I think as far as dorky things go I may have the biggest share in RoundTable. Thus, in my room, the density of dork (anime, PS2, Cube, TV, computer games, fantasy novels, D&D rule books) is much greater than the density of dork in the surrounding area. Thus, dork is sucked into my room due to an incredibly high gravity. It's true. Like Bart Simpson's cone of ignorance, only with dorkitude.

Because of this, I have drawn Abhijit and his awesome Ignition DDR pads to my room. I now have a DDR space in that 10x10 space. Today, via the magic of an S-Video cable and a USB/Playstation adaptor, I have unlocked the potential for unlimited songs. Mind you, I'm still going to buy the legit versions because... well, because. I feel like I'd be cheating Bemani out of its rightful share otherwise. But now I can play songs that I could only dream of playing (dream as in... have Albert plug his laptop in somewhere, but I digress).

As though that were the extent of this void of dork, I've also been told by my parents that a table that meets my specifications has been discovered. The table is low to the ground, like knee height, round and about 5x5 feet. It will go in the same 10x10 area, taking residence in the current DDR space. It is light enough to be moved around so as to limit interference with DDR. In the meantime, I shall draw our D&D sessions into... my room! *cackle!* Just like in the days of yore Freshman year. Woe to those of you who felt I was a loser before.

I should mention, too, that Jase's campaign is off to a beautiful start, creating its own vortex (which I know he's had following him for years) that has drawn in people who had never played D&D before. Very sinister Jase. In addition, I've joined him in this session, whereupon I've pulled out a street-fighting Rogue/Fighter... who's alias is "Oni." Catchy I know... *cough*

So, that's that. If you feel yourself being drawn to my room, it's probably the vortex. Which would explain why FFX and Pikmin 2 sounds have sometimes been heard to emanate from here. Just wait until my D&D table becomes the RT Magic: The Gathering table, too. Then I fear a black hole will be created... and all life will be doomed. (Because as we all know, dorks have no life.)

Cheese Omelette in Paradise

Yay for a great weekend. I'm afraid most of it was spent, very happily, with Laura and my parents. Thus, I didn't see much of everyone I'd hoped to see around my birthday, but such is the way of things. As a method of repayment, I offer unto you these satanic messages. Or, if not satanic, at the very least entertaining. So, who wants Brittney first? I'm gonna stay away, I figured I could offer her to my compadres. Feel free to claim her on the tagboard.

Also, I've been noticing that Tag Board likes to throw pop-up ads, which is greatly annoying to me. So, I recommend you all do what I did and grab either Mozilla, or Crazy Browser (I use the latter). Also, might I highly recommend GAIM for all your IMing needs? Just thought I'd throw those out there for convenience of anyone who hasn't fallen into the respective dork-ness.

So, some more news... Laura's visit was great... oh! Other news, too - I've joined a new campaign. In fact, it's filled with PsiUers, and looks to be very entertaining. I stopped in while doing laundry, and have decided it is a most awesome group. That raises my number of D&D groups to an astounding 2. I'm really looking forward to bringing my character (whom I slightly shamefacedly named "Oni") into the group to see how it goes. By the way, have you seen the new shirts at Something Positive? They're incredibly dorky, and therefore I found them humorous.

True Sexual Healing

There are some things that no amount of commenting from my part can make them funnier. This article is one of those. The existence of this book alone is cause for laughter and comments on the stereotypical loser-ness of dorks, dweebs, geeks, nerds and nimrods. But, hopefully, this article will show you that most of us (that is, dorks) gaze upon these books in approximately the same fashion that a Freshman looks at the C2K requirements - we knew they were there, but we liked pretending they weren't.

There's also a great bit titled "One Last Question" that Connie sent my way, and which I think most of you will find entertaining. I may have to update that link, too, once it's off the main page. Someone remind me if I forget.

Burning Inside, With Violent Anger

Man, and I thought I'd seen some good costumes in my day. Check these out, if you're even a little interested in Final Fantasy or costumes in general. Sephiroth - amazing costume, sword, wing, everything's there (the hair looks silly, but it is accurate). I'm a touch confused regarding the wing on Cloud, but that may be because I'm forgetting some minute detail about the plot in FFVII. Probably has something to do with his being the counterpart to Sephiroth's single-wingedness. Regardless, the guy has a surprisingly good face for both characters, in that he actually looks kinda tough. Not your average dork, in other words. He may in fact be filled with violent anger.

You'll note that, following the rules of any good comment-type post thingie, there are trolls and morons posting comments on some of these pix. I particularly like the ones placed here regarding future dates with Aeris/Aerith. Quite touching, and certainly not a hint of desperation. Nope.

Thanks to Laura for the heads up on botha those, and kudos to Jill for the new religion link from last time.

Have It Your Way

Fine, I'm trying things your way first. I'll see what I can do about making the funny. So, there we go. Take that, fiends! You didn't even have to go inside my head. I think I actually prefer it that way - there's things no other should see in there.

So, here's some thievery on my part from other sites: apparently there're old commercials to be found, for the purpose of downloading. There's also a Panda game of sorts for the playing. Also, here's one in case you haven't found religion yet.

JASEDIT: Two videos from the guy who has a ton of videos: Interspecies love but not the dirty kind; and some action, adventure, and Capcom all mixed into one. Enjoy!

On Evil Felines

The magic of Laura's gifted Wacom Tablet has allowed for the creation of another comic. I think all of these are much more entertaining in my head. Which leads me to the impression that everyone should go inside my head, where these things are funny.

It's either that or I work to make things funny outside of my head. Is that what you want?

Pack it Up, Pack it In

If you've never gone white water rafting - I recommend it.

More importantly, at this juncture, I'm back at Duke! So, if you're reading this and at Duke, I may begin to wonder why you've not visited my room - the coolest room on the second floor of GG1 that there is. I'm also next to Vanessa, the RA. I've opted not to put down my own much abused carpet, and have instead stolen my brother's rug. My room is, as of now, set up in all respects except for the video games. Which remain in their respective boxes. I anticipate the purchase of Way of the Samurai which is a great two player slash-fest with a just a dab of tactical planning. Very entertaining, and best of all - you can be a Ninja! Eeeee!

Also, I present to you my schedule in the hopes that you can either become my stalker, or throw money at me as I leave class. Either one is perfectly acceptable. In fact, feel free to combine the two - the source of the money is immaterial to me. Bonus points if you do it Ninja-like.

Oh, in case you missed it when everyone ELSE was posting it, here's a fun political song. Also, if you happen to check this page in the hopes of finding something about DRAGO or a Duke gaming organization, this is to you Freshman specifically, do e-mail me. This would take a miracle to work - but it's the fastest and easiest way! Maybe I'll get lucky and the Freshman who want to Roleplay are also very self-reliant, forthright and determined. Here's some fun search words to try!

D&D, Roleplaying, Dungeons, Dragons, servitude to Camilo.

There. That should cover all my bases.
