New Rant!

A new comic is in the process! Until then, though, might I recommend you check out the site's "newest" feature! The Rants section! Ironically, the last update it'd seen was exactly a year and a day ago. Clearly this has significance; Primarily, it shows that I couldn't even perform a Fated event on time. I'll always be a day late. Anyways, I joke about the newness of my "Rants" section, but lo! An event that has only happened once before in the history of man! I have a guest author! I think it's going to become a regular thing, even, so... a hearty hello to Erik "Chevere" Peterson! For those of you thinking "Huh, Chevere means cool in Spanish. I wonder if Erik is Hispanic?" I'll answer you right now; He's white as white can be. He's so white he crumbles himself up into soup. (Haha! Cracker.)

Anyways, as you wait expectantly for my excuse as to why the comic isn't done, here's a fun music video chronicling the rediscovery of E.T. for the Atari!

Oregano Trail

Haha! New comicry, and one I'm particularly happy with. So check it out, and do note the backgroundy goodness! It's delicious.

How delicious, one might ask? Well, almost as delicious as my preordered X-Box 360. Not that I have it yet, but apparently (as told me by my pal at EB) they're expecting a shipment later this week, and my name might be on one of the systems. Of course, I got the core unit. HA! Ahahahaha.... no, seriously. I think most gamers would rather be manhandled by a walrus in heat (Please note: due to the blubber, walri are quite sweaty, especially in heat). No, I got the real X-Box 360, along with Perfect Dark (please, please don't be a disappointment) and DOA4 - infamous for it's state-of-the-art boob jiggling technology. Unfortunately, I've also got a test this Thursday, so I'm hoping the system doesn't arrive until then. Otherwise I'm not responsible for my grade on that test.

Let's see... oh, new voting incentive that one or two of you might get, and which I find highly amusing. And here's a link to some... um... well, it's technically a music video. Just watch, you'll see what I mean. Lastly, check out the announcement at the bottom regarding the forum-reader who committed suicide. Jack Thompson continues to aggravate everyone with his utter lack of morals and desire to blame gaming for everything. Rock on JT, you're living the dream. Which dream... not sure. But I'm sure it belongs to an abomination man was not meant to know, traveling through the cyclopean abyss that dwells between time and space. Or... something like that. What I'm trying to say is, you're fashionably "in-your-face" and someday your "supporters" will realize that your arguments are full of deceit and grandstanding. And then you'll go the way of the Super Scope.

The Lines Lost Weight

Wow, took me long enough, huh?

Well, enjoy a brand new comic! It took me some time, but mainly because I tried out a few new things. I've finally come to a decision regarding backgrounds - which, though not many others might noticed, I have. And it bugged me that other comics did backgrounds, and I couldn't even figure out how. No longer though. In fact, I've got an entire floorplan for the house! So, I might present that in a bit. I'm hoping the next comic's a lot quicker, for I have plans... lazy plans. Oh, and you'll notice I'm starting to include a story-line of sorts. I need to update more frequently than once a week, though, if I want that to become apparent. Four panels a week are hard to move stories with... well, I'll see what I can do.

Okay, so for anyone who hasn't seen it, I've got a vote incentive up and a new List for voting - Buzzcomix has just had far too many issues... which is a shame. Anyways, in addition Jase has provided a fair number of links, and I'll pass a few of those on. First my favorite of the lot, I share with you the story of The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. It's truly a shame that it had to go down that way. And I have to wonder who killed Godzilla, for that matter. Second, a delightful mesh of Broadway and WoW. Enjoy! And then Google some porn, or something.

My Comics Totally Ignore Holidays

Man! So many comics need drawing. So, here's the dilly-o, as some are wont to say. I left for Break three weeks ago and took my glorious Wacom tablet with me. Alas, though all seemed in preparation, it turned out that I had left my pen... a key for drawing on said Wacom tablet. So, I sat on about 7 or 8 ideas for comics, unable to draw them, for three weeks. Sure, I could have used a pencil and paper, and if I'd had a scanner I probably would have. So, my apologies. Things continue, and I may be able to make up for it with more than one comic a week.

Ah! And Happy Holidays! Or Merry Christmas, or... whatever. I can't believe that's a big deal now. Well, whatever. I shall not sully this page with too much in the way of politics or religion. Instead, I fill it with comicy joy! The title, by the way, is not a misspelling. Do you C what I mean? *giggle*

Wait! I didn't just giggle. That was a manly belly laugh. You heard me!

Say, do you play Gemstone 4? Well, if you do, or are somewhat interested in seeing some articles I wrote to help newer players, check out the Gemstone 4 Wiki: Krakiipedia! I should note that if you happen to frequent the forums on Gemstone, my dream of being recognized as a (somewhat) reliable poster and as a forum personality has been realized. I'm such a geek, I've wanted this since about sixth grade when I started playing. Unfortunately, half the people must think I'm on hard drugs, since my posts approximate my comics: happy, informative (ha!), and completely random.

Now, some links provided by a character currently on his way back from Italy, the newest iPod has finally been announced. Just, watch your urethra. And if you have this infestation, I know someone who can make you the armor. Now, both links come from the same site, so enjoy all the articles it has to offer.

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Well, the Italy story arc is finally over. It took, surprisingly, less time than the "Rave" story arc from way back when. I blame that on the last couple of weeks and my faithful comicery during this hard, difficult time. *grin*

So, now that we're back home, you might enjoy what was going on in the meantime. It's a little late to be an entirely topical video game comic, but it's STILL a video game comic, so many of you might not "get it." I like to think, though, that some of you'll find it just as entertaining as I do. Like, maybe two of you. See, the whole thing is about Katamari Damacy, a game based on the idea of a Little Prince rolling around a giant sticky ball to reform the stars - which his drunken father, the King of the Universe, destroyed while on a bender. The second game, titled "Everyone Loves Katamari Damacy," was based on the idea that the entire world LOVED this little green man and his quest to completely destroy Earth in a quest to reform the stars. Seriously... would you "love" a guy who came down and stole your house, your sister, and the entire landmass you resided on - and then shot you into space to die a slow and miserable death floating in the cold, lifeless Cosmos? No, right? Damn right. So you'd do what Mike did.

I'd also like to throw out to quick links, which I don't think I've posted before. The first is related tangentially to "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," commonly known as that show with a hamburger, shake and fries. MC Chris has done a few songs for the show, but he's also got an entire album FREE on his website. I recommend "Fett's Vette" and "The 'Tussin." As for the second link, it involves more free MP3s, although these aren't songs as much as they are Geek Spoken Word; specifically it's Ernie Cline's spoken word which is hilarious stuff: "Nerd Porn Auteur," "When I Was a Kid," and "The Geek Wants Out" are my recommendations.

So, that's that. Just a few things left to mention. For one, many of you may not have heard about the comic last week, since technically it was a voting incentive. If you've not seen it, vote and revel in the wonderous alternate ending for the last Italy comic. I also want to announce my forgetfulness and mention that Lynnsie is the source for all things "Dancing Khan" related. And finally, that he next comic will be based on a recommendation by Marcos, who won my "bet when Camilo's going to fall asleep today" Livejournal contest. I'll go ahead and pimp Marcos, too - 'cause damn, Marcos... you read my comics! And voted, too. So, much joy was found when I discovered I had almost 40 votes, and it's only the 20th. Hopefully next month'll be just as strong! It's rather motivating to see me beating one of my favorite comics on the list: Tweep. Anyways, that's that! Enjoy.

Excretion!

I'll make a bigger post later in the day, after lab (I'm cutting it close! The excitement!). I just wanted to alert everyone that there is now a new comic. Apparently the last two weeks' theme is "Excretion." Which just goes to show that medical school is on my mind, since we're doing the abdomen and pelvis.

Instead of Studying

I have two tests this week. But did you think that would stop me? Then you are crazy! Or... you've been reading for a while, and have realized my reliability stinks. But either way, you are wrong today! For I have released unto the world another comic. An unholy comic. Hopefully it'll receive the acclaim the last one did, having received comments (if not on the Tag Board) that indicated it was entertaining.

Speaking of which... I think I'm going to get rid of the Tag Board. It rarely sees any usage, and it has that annoying pop up I can't get rid of without paying twenty bucks. Does anyone want to donate the money? 'cause that'd keep the Tag Board. That, or a comment on the TagBoard in the next week indicating someone wants to keep it. See, it's all part of the grand update to my site, which removed the hideous (now that I look at them again) white blocks for links. Since my drawing's improved a touch, as have the characters, I replaced them, too. I only have to redo my OWN face now, which looks over you from the banner; I like to think of it as a gargoyle looming over my site.

Also, for anyone who might have checked, I put up a few new pictures on the website. If you can't tell, I'm the Dread Pirate Roberts. Only I'm not the real Dread Pirate Roberts, as he gave the title away to Cumberbund some time ago. Optionally, if you prefer, that's almost what Oni would look like if he were a bit taller, brown haired, and lacking a spiked chain. As for the pizza-fro, no, she isn't anything specific, unless you count "weird" as an answer.

In honor of Halloween (since I'm not in tune with the world enough to include it in the comic) I will now try to scare you. First, put your hand in this bowl and feel the Dancing Khan's rhythmic beats and creepy band members (Don't feel them too much or they'll follow you home). Now, gaze into the eyes of one of the greatest instances of beer drinking EVER. Truly, that is one gigundus beer. Finally, the one thing that all should fear: ninja (There's also a second and a third. Fear those as well!).

Happy Halloween!

I'm Still Here!

I think I've figured out a way to keep updating despite the workload. It's... unusual. But it works for me. Anyways, the main point is that I should be able to get more comics out now - possibly even more than once a week, though that remains up in the air. We'll see what happens, but I need to finish this Italy arc, because I have too many ideas for afterwards. I'm probably going to forget them all as soon as I'm done with this arc... it's the way my mind works. Sad.

Anyways! This comic's for everyone who's ever put programs onto their calculator, and for everyone who's ever visited Europe. I hope it makes sense, 'cause I thought it was pretty funny (even rereading it). It would be a shame if I was the only one. So, leave some feedback! Or something.

Here's some hilarity, brought to my attention by Jase - resident robot builder (And by "resident" I mean he's a few hours away by car). I think the same thing could be applied to Ferrets, gerbils, and neko-girls. But the neko-girls might need some extra training. It's hard to say without some experimentation *grin*. Also, I would HOPE everyone knew about the Nintendo Revolution controllers, but it's hard to know for sure. I'll also mention that Jack Thompson deserves to be put into a public debate with someone intelligent, where he can have his intellectual ass handed to him without being able to claim his detractors are stupid, on drugs, or otherwise deranged because of their hobbies. I'd volunteer, but I get the feeling there are 9 year olds who would enjoy the opportunity and do an equally good job. Have you seen the Penny-Arcade check, by the way? It's the best 10k check to charity ever. Someone said the whole JT thing was now more of a tv drama... and he's right. It's like watching a train wreck, only you really dislike the train.

Who should I whore today, by the way? *think* Well, I'll go ahead and whore... Abhijit! You mentioned that you read the comics and my away messages. So if you ever happen to look in again, you'll find yourself mentioned. Everyone, follow his example, and read my comic! Yaay!

Backgrounds?!

I sh*t you not (I'm censoring myself), I have backgrounds in the newest comic. Gaussian backgrounds. Will this become a regular thing? Not sure, actually. Doubtful. But I just might decide to draw a few "standard" backgrounds to use in the comics. I just don't consider myself particularly good at drawing objects so that they don't stand out too much. The bar scene at the end, though, I suppose was pretty good. Anyways, check out the comic and see for yourself.

Isn't it pretty? I certainly thought so. Don't forget to vote if you concur. You do concur, right?

Now, I provide links for your perusal. Firstly, I'd like to give mad props to the new "Pinball Wizard." I swear, there has to be a twist. Though, I hear the fellow has quite the supple wrist. How do you think he does it? I don't know. What makes him so... okay, I'll stop. Anyway, the second link has to do with Pastafarianism and the debate in Kansas. Worship Him, for He is tasty and impossible to disprove. Finally, I think Monty Python fandom has gone too far.

That is all for now, except for one... more... thing... PIMPING! Today's comic-ho is Rob, Biology graduate student and TA somewhere cold and lonely. Who loves Illinois?! Well, I don't know the answer to that either. But I DO know that the people who made some game (I'm thinking it was Descent or Homeworld) are based in his area. Now, Illinois is a long way away, but thanks to Google Talk that is no longer an issue. Talk to people in different countries! Awesome. And free. Oh so free! The latency is good too, and even though it's in Beta it only has a few quirks in its connection. Try it out! And if you get it, tell me so on my Tagboard. Have you ever, by the way, wondered if Google's trying to take over the world? Hmm...

Love My Updates!

Just so you have an idea what kind of schedule I'm on, it's 10:09 and I've been awake for 3 hours. In fact, I'm in the medical school classroom RIGHT now. I finished the comic here, and am doing the update here. It is a world of pain - you'd think medicine was meant to alleviate pain, but the secret to the whole thing is that if they make students and residents suffer enough, they steal the suffering from the people they give medicine to. Prescription drugs are just distilled happiness drained from the students. Now you know.

Aside from my whining, which I suspect will become more pronounced and bitter, the main point of this post is that there IS an update. A real and comicy one. And I just thought you'd like to know. Sounds pretty cool huh? That's why you should read it... and then... VOTE!

That's right! Buzzcomix is back online, and the ranks are significantly thinned! I'm not that far back in the line, which means you should so totally vote and make me happy. It's the least you could do for the distilled joy you're using whenever you get a cold!

Final Announcement

So, it looks like some people still visit the place. *phew*

It's a funny thing, this comic business. I'm much more motivated to do it when I'm NOT at home. And yet, one might think, at home I should have all the free time in the world! But it's a lie! I'm always running errands here or there, picking up stuff, eating dinner with the family and so on. Not that that's a bad thing, it just means I have much less control over my time. No excuse, but at least it's a reason for my total lack of comics since just after my trip to Italy.

For anyone interested and not in the know, though, I'm starting medical school this Monday. That means a lot of work, I'm afraid. So I'm quitting the comic.

Haha! Dude, you should've seen the look on your face! Teehee. *grin* So, I'm a lying bastard - this is true. But I do have something made for these kinds of emergencies. So, as a hint of things to come, I present an update. Not a comic, but just a little something to show I care. What do I care about? Well, I can't say. Not to you, anyways. Well, maybe if you asked nicely.

One last thing - if you happen to be buying ANYTHING on Amazon.com, do use the link to the left. It costs you nothing, and gets me some money. And that's just a nice thing. I do send out a pretty link - it's spooky, if you're into that sort of pop out at you thing. This one's really well done though. Also, here's a fun form I'm sure most of us could have used at one point or another, and will certainly have to use again. I stole both of these from Nodwick because that's the kind of thing I do, and then attribute.

Behind

So... far... behind. So not in town very much.

New comic is up! Don't judge me for my laziness. Just... whip me for it. (That only applies to my female readers, and perhaps any famous readers of either gender for the sake of a good story). Um... there's not too much else to relay on here, at the moment. Someone should... um... post on my Tagboard though. *nod nod*

Might I add, for everyone's benefit, that my brother Alejandro reads the comic! He's being pimped, that's right! Everyone should pay me money to abuse my bro. He likes it, anyways. So, that makes it win-win, yeah?

Story Arc!

Ooh, I'm back! Little did I know, my claim that I wouldn't know when I'd be back again was quite accurate. One day late did I leave the states, one day late did I return. Yea.

And guess what I've decided to do! That's right! A story arc! I'll be doing two comics a week so as to finish in a timely fashion. Guess what it's about? That's right. You're a good guesser. Or you cheated and read the comic! (By the way, all of you should cheat and read the comic.)

The trip was great, and I'll be uploading some pics to somewhere people can see them. For the record, Italians are great peoples. If any Italians read this - yay! Bring some friends. In fact, all of you bring friends. Especially since my next pimp is...

Eileen! Whoo! You read my comics! Mad props. In fact, the comics started off originally as a co-comic, as you can see way back in the Old Comic section at the very beginning. Ah, the days of Roy... fortunately, I can draw better than that now. Some sense of proportion at least... and color! Glorious, glorious color. I'm gonna go sit on my rocking-chair and reminisce now. Now get off my lawn!

I'm Hispanic, So It's Okay

HA!

I imagine all of you thought I was far too lazy to actually get TWO comics out before I left, what with the graduations and the travelling to Princeton. But little did you know you were wrong!...

Well, I am lazy (and Hispanic!), but I did put out another comic. So, that's where you were wrong. Fine. I guess 2/3 isn't bad. Losers.

Anyways, I'm out for the next two weeks - Italy travels. Hopefully I'll have pictures for when I come back, which I can share with all of you who are interested.

Random pimp! Laura reads my comics! Whoooo! And guess who provided the tablet last September! That's right! Mad props to Laura. (Read my comic? Be pimped!)

One Down

Ahoy! I present a new comic, along the same theme as the last one. Superheroes are so easy to make fun of, poor fellas. Ah well. I won't show them ANY pity until I learn to fly, the greedy f*ckers.

Ah, I have to admit something: this comic came about due to a conversation with my bro, ostensibly known as Al (I've mentioned him before). He's usually the first to see my comics, and I wouldn't be shocked to find out that he's also the only one to laugh at the comics *grin*. Unfortunately, bouncing jokes off him is primarily for ego boosting, 'cause we share the same sense of humor, which is to say a bizzarre one. Anyways, this comic was due to us talking.

Now, for my random pimp! Robbie - whoooo! Thanks for reading the comic. Admittedly, a bit bizzarre to hear my comics quoted back at me. But awesome.

So, read my comic and be pimped! The newest in propaganda.

My New Baby

I was writing an entry as soon as graduation was over, and I'd gotten back home. WHen I suddenly fiscovered that my access to the ftp server was gone. Hmm... well, normally a proxy takes care of that no problem, but not anymore? Unusual. Well, I tried a virtual network (VPN) on my laptop, but nothing. Hooked up my desktop a few days ago, and got around to trying the VPN again (as the proxy continued to fail). Now it works. So, here I am!

I do bring a new comic, my apologies for the two week downtime but I was at the beach and graduating. Unfortunately, there'll be another downtime soon because, well, I'm leaving on a jetplane. I should be able to get another two comics out before then, we'll see if that happens. Another one at least...

Anyways, in honor to the new Superman movie coming out, I present a comic (hope you've seen Superman 2!). Then again, I suspect much like the pronouncement of, "Khan!" while falling to one's knees, this quote may have entered the common knowledge of nerds and geeks everywhere. We'll see.

I'd like to point out, also, my new baby. It's just so shiny, and the specs make me weep with confusion (ok, so I'm not quite tech savvy enough to read through these and translate it to actual performance). And the controllers! Seven at once, bluetooth wireless, 24 hour rechargeable batteries... just look through this article and these pictures, and tell me they're not amazingly futuristic. And SHINY!

        ~DD Monday May 23, 2005 -5:07 AM

It's Finished!

So, it's come to my attention that a comic is about due. Especially since, as you may know (I can't imagine why most of you would know), it's Buzzcomix' new month, which means with some votage I can keep ahead of certain other comics, who shall remain nameless. So... vote! For me. Yes!

As for the comic... hmm. I've noticed a trend in the pain I cause Alter-Me. More on that, perhaps, sometime later. Though I should mention that this kind of pain is exactly why I made a different me. Allows me to avoid any potential inferences.

Oh, but, yes - I'm done with Undergraduate forever now. I have this summer to rest, and then voila, back into school. But at least it's not undergraduate... but I will miss Duke. It'll be weird for a while. Ah well.

Check out Super-Jesus! Something about some guy called Liefeld, I dunno. But regardless, it's Jesus kicking Olympian ass. And then, also, here's a nice D&D site shown to me by one of my few faithful readers (That's right, read my comics, I'll pimp you out)*grin*. It even has online character sheets, for those of you who go in for that sort of thing.

Al On College

Just thought I'd present a bit of wisdom from one of the characters in the comic. Some would call him... Al (He's also my brother). Thanks for letting me steal from you! *grin*

So what did I learn this semester???
1) Differential Equations- Differential equations are boring, and it is possible to go to class often and never understand a word your professor is saying yet still do decently in a class.
2) Linear Algebra- Matrices are a lot more complicated than they seem....
3) Physics 181- Your confidence in your understanding of a subject can be shattered within a 2 minute span (getting my second test back).
4) Electronic Music- I am a dork. (<--Runs in the family, I suspect. ~DD)
5) General Social Scene- Free beer = lots of people = less beer for you.

Yet all in all a pretty successful and enjoyable semester.

Airbrushing, F*ck Yeah!

As per my promise last night, the comic is up! I messed a little bit with shading, but I didn't want to go all out quite yet. I'm still very pleased with the drawing from yesterday. What's that you say? It's disappeared? And you never saw it?!

You should check more frequently *grin*. (Ooh, clever plot, Duck!)

Anyhow, the last weeks have been busy for their own assorted reasons, alternating really. So, I'm currently behind, I believe, 2 comics. They shall be caught up. I'm having some difficulties deciding on a standard brush size for my comics, but that's ok. I'll figure something out, promise. Until then, enjoy the art as it (slowly) improves. And vote for me.

Lessee... have I found anything interesting online... Oh! Jase, whom you may consider unofficial internet link guru for this place, has revealed Nintendo a cappella in two forms: one is a video and the other is a site of MP3s. Take, and be merry.

OLD POST:
Tomorrow there shall be a comic up. For tonight, I present to you the standard in webcomicing: the lazy artist picture.

For the record, I'm not up early *wink*.

PS: Guess who just discovered the Airbrush tool. "W007!" as they say. Shading like a Shadowdancer.

PPS: Anyone know the song I'm referencing in the title?

Chicken Rope

Missed another week... I can catch up. I CAN catch up...

This is doable. You'll see. And then I shall be laughing!

Not much news to speak of... OR IS THERE?! Yeah, I lied. I'm a brother of Psi Upsilon now, which may or may not give many people who know me from before this year a heart attack - "Camilo... in a fraternity! *heart leads arteries in a revolt*" It would go something like that.

I guess one could consider the presence of a grotesque summon in the comic to be an homage of sorts to my pledge name, Cthulhu. In fact... yeah. That's why this comic is late. Excellent... Oh, and as for the title of the comic, and this post, just imagine alternate words that mean the same thing - also monosyllabic. It fits *grin*.

Final bit of news, there's also a new vote incentive for everyone! It's just a coloring of the Oni drawing from the last incentive. But... it has shading. Which remains such a mystery to me. But here, I present it in what little glory I can muster for that sort of thing. Some day, maybe, I shall be... an artist.

Deus Ex Camilo

Gah!

Missed a week, and didn't even really notice. It just kinda... passed by me! I even had this comic done, except for a few details, on Sunday! Well. I assure you, I WILL NOT miss a week last week. Consider this a late update. Tonight's update, likewise, will be a little late, and probably not arrive until later this week. But it will arrive. And it shall be glorious! GLORIOUS!

New character of sorts in the comic, I guess. I couldn't resist inserting him in, as, well, he is me. In a truer sense than the other character I've been using as me. But then... what fun would it be to be a deity, really? None. At least, not if it isn't me. Then again, maybe someone above me is drawing me, and making me draw other me's who draw versions of them, who make comics about themselves! Aiee!

Or not. Whatever.

I realized, by the way, that I completely forgot to link this site. How very stupid of me. Why? Because each and every one of these editorials is filled with the kind of hilarity usually reserved for watching your friend swat imaginary flying lizards while on LSD. Not that I've done that - but damned, that seems like the kind of entertainment that could draw you in for weeks at a time. It'd be like WoW, only with less Blizzard and more psychoactive dementia.

Mmm... dementia.

EDIT: I added a new voting incentive and tossed the old one into the Drawings section (Giant D in the Viewer) for anyone who never got to see it - for those people, by the way, I hate you. As for the new incentive, I want to clarify that I'm particularly happy with Kari and Oni's pictures, because I felt like I had a clear idea of what I wanted them to be doing, and feel like they fit the characters. Bran and Kwilo, though not bad, were much more ambiguous in my mind as to what they should be doing, and if I could draw them while doodling in class. I didn't try anyone else because either a)They're dead/gone b)Their players are better artists than I, and I know that. See? Makes sense.

If, for some bizarre reason, you seem to like my drawing and would like me to draw someone... hell, I'll try. It's not like I'm gonna try charging or anything, so it's really just poking at me until I get it done, which is more than likely going to be during a class. (For the record, this was during Pediatric Psychology - an awesome class, but the only one that doesn't require note-taking, and therefore lends itself to extra care when doodling).

Three In A Row! Take THAT Voices!

Ha! The voices were wrong, and therefore I win!

Showed those Silly voices who they were messing with. Mm-hmm. So, spring break involved much chilling and I finally acquired my giant riding cat mount - it's white with grey stripes. So, based on that information, you can probably assume I was playing World of Warcraft a lot. And you'd be right! I also attempted to write Carpe Noctem articles, but invariably failed to write most of them. My ability to sit down and pump out funny things out of necessity is surprisingly limited. This is why I always shied away from doing something for the Chronicle (though, apparently some people think I'm funnier than the recent student comics? Weirdos *grin*). I know that when the deadline came down, I'd be sitting on my ass poking at a paper with a stick - sometimes it might even be a pencil, but I'm not promising anything.

But, I show my trust in the public - I believe my hard work at making a (somewhat small) cache of comics so that I could keep consistent will pay off in bringing back a few readers. Who knows? Maybe it will, at that. I actually made this one long ago, but I wanted to keep the storyline going earlier, and thought this a good place for some insouciant president mockery. Unfortunately, you'll need to know a little bit about Simon & Garfunkel's songs to get some of it. But I figure if I can reference video games, it's only right that I also reference some quasi-obscure musical things. Gotta cater to my crowd... please let there be some S&G fans reading... *crosses fingers*. Though, if not... I'll just cater to myself and eventually build up a crowd! Haha!

By the way, I've heard that last year's options for "Last Day of Classes" were Kanye West and Simon and Garfunkel... please tell me this is not true. Or, explain to me why anyone would choose Kanye over Simon and Garfunkel... and make it very good. Or feel my wrath! (Unless you've voted, in which case you are exempt from my wrath).

So, I found an interesting website that
attempts to prove/disprove all kinds of Urban Legends. Just some examples of true ones I found entertaining: we've got the orgasm yawn, the pirate recruiting nursery rhyme, Japanese schoolgirl underwear vending, and Indiana Jones with diarrhea. That's just what I found with a quick glance over... it's very entertaining to glance through *grin*.

I Update from Home!

Some of you (*cough* Laura *cough*) commented on my use of furries in the last comic. Little did you know I had plans, evil plans, for just such an occurrence. Look! A cache of comics guarantees output, which is the basic requirement for a good webcomic (Vote for me!)! That's none too shabby. I mean, I'm even in Charleston, WV and I'm still putting up a comic. All I need now is one of those fancy scripts that uploads the comics and posts FOR ME. That's right, this is what the big guys do. Lazy bastards. I bet they stop improving their art, too. Not me. Nope. I spotted some of my old notebooks and decided to look through them, and MAN. It is a notable and marked difference. I'm particularly happy with the way this new one turned out, 'cause it took almost no time to draw. Cut and paste... well... it might help. I cannot say! Do not make me say! *runs away*

*Ahem* So, as I said, Spring Break. Home. Family. Friends. Wait, friends? No! None of them have this same break. Just Duke. Fortunately, I have things to do and people to see (or is it the other way around?) and won't be bored. In fact, just today I realized how long it would take me to buy a giant striped panther for riding purposes! It's quite fun, you should try realizing this, too!

Anyways, that's that.

Hiatus Status: Finished

I've hidden the previous posts in a place noone will ever find them. That way, there is no hint as to how long it's been since I last updated, see? It's very sneaky, and quite, um, sneaky. (I just woke up, I don't have the mental capacity for synonyms right now).

I've been building a small cache of comics though, in the hopes that I won't miss weeks for a while. We'll see how it turns out. I have high hopes. So for those of you who think I might have been getting no use out of my awesome tablet - you'd be wrong! It's just I haven't been spreading my sails to the wind, so to speak.

I assure you, the cast is as surprised as you are, regarding these events. As you can see, they've all fallen into their own set of hobbies. Most of you probably didn't notice, but I did add a review over the intervening months for Shaolin Soccer. You can, um, check that out, too. Ooh! And you may not believe this, but I've been steadily improving my drawing skills. This will soon result in more comic-y goodness, though whether it's of any particular worth remains to be seen.

Anyways, the point is - I'm back. My bad for the break there.
