Radiology Links

I've placed a few links to radiology tutorials and teaching materials, as well as to a handful of training programs, on this page. Feel free to explore. I will keep adding more as time passes....

Problem or case-based tutorials of radiology:

  • BrighamRad: Radiologic cases with discussion. Over 150 cases on file with clinical history, radiologic findings, and a short discussion, searchable by imaging modality or organ system.
  • BrighamRad: Finding the Path. A problem-based tutorial on radiology decision-making in the Emergency Room.
  • Harvard's Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine Teaching File. A set of nuclear medicine cases with discussion.
  • BrighamRad: Medical Student Modules. A tutorial on the interpretation of chest films, developed for Harvard medical students.
  • Teaching Files on the Web. A fairly large list of teaching files on the WWW organized by organ systems and/or imaging modalities.

    Atlases of Radiologic Anatomy:

  • Anatomy Module. An anatomy teaching module from the University of Washington.
  • Radiologic Anatomy Browser. A frame-intensive but useful set of radiographs depicting normal anatomy, from the Uniformed Services.
  • Whole Brain Atlas. An atlas of neuroanatomy from Harvard/MIT.

    Texts on Physics of Radiology:

  • Basics of MRI. An online textbook explaining the physical basis of MRI.
  • Intro to MRI. A watered-down coverage of magnetic resonance imaging physics, but approachable for medical students who want a quick glimpse into the subject.
  • Physical Characteristics of Nuclear Medicine Imaging by Steven C. Moore, PhD.
