Canadian Serviceberry (Amelanchier canadensis)

Canadian Serviceberry, also known as Shadblow, is an uncommon thicket-forming shrub, rarely a small tree, found most often in upland woods. It's easily confused with its larger sibling Common Serviceberry (Amelanchier arborea), even by professional botanists. These are quite showy when they bloom in early spring, before the leaves come out.
