Coralberry (Symphoricarpos orbiculatus)

Coralberry is an uncommon small shrub most often found over areas of basic rock.

The leaves are simple, entire, and opposite. Coralberry could be confused with saplings of the common Chinese Privet (Ligustrum sinense), a more robust shrub or tree with more leathery leaves.

Coralberry is most common over basic bedrock.

Coralberry is a low shrub, usually about 2-4 feet tall, and spreads by underground rhizomes.
