| An uncommon shrub up to six feet tall, similar to the much more common Downy Arrowwood (V. rafinesquianum), but with broader, more coarsely toothed leaves and longer petioles. The similar but less common Smooth Arrowwood (V. dentatum var. lucidum) has smooth leaves and grows along rivers and in wetlands. |
