Original Skin is a concert series devoted to the creation of new works
for percussion. Founded in 2003 by David T. Little, Carl Schimmel,
and Gordon Williamson, Original Skin unites a diverse group of composers from different
backgrounds with percussion groups from across North America and
the world. The result is a collection of new percussion
works, from which the performers assemble a variety of
exciting concerts. Original Skin's inaugural season is scheduled
to take place in the winter of 2004-2005, and concert locations
are likely to include Ann Arbor, New York City, Boston, and
Bloomington, Indiana. Please check the calendar as updates occur.
