Dark Lord of Derkholm -

July, 2001

An enjoyable book, taking the standard fantasy plot of people from our, "normal" world going to a "fantasy" world. In this case, it's big business to send tours to their world, and they're getting shafted. 40 years of tourists coming through to see the war between good and evil, and take a hand in defeating the Dark Lord have taken a terrible toll on the land, people, environment, and economy, and the residents are sick of it.

What this book might suffer most from is that there is so much happening, it gets a bit frantic, but that may be deliberate, as our main characters are in over their heads trying to take care of the tourists while everyone has a secret agenda, and as much as can possibly go wrong does.
