In Spring 2004, Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA conducted a silent auction as part of a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness month. The organizers desired sign advertisements that would spread awareness and draw attention to the most expensive items up for bid. The goal in creating these pieces was to design artwork that would convey excitement through color and allow potential bidders to imagine how they could enjoy the items, thus inducing bidding.
