My Computer Science Autobiography

The first time I remember using a computer was in 2nd grade when I taught to use computers as part of a special program at P.S. 8 in Bronx, NY I think in 1987.  They were probably those old Apple computers that were that light brown color, but they were cool because they had color screens.  I won some kind of contest for drawing a red car during this program and got to go all the way to Brooklyn to get a prize.  I’ve uses plenty of different kinds of computers from my dad’s TANDY that was probably from the 70’s to some pretty sweet laptops.  I prefer PC’s to Mac’s though because I’m more familiar with them.  Since my early success with computers in the 2nd grade I haven’t progressed very much with computers.  Right now I am taking Computer Science in order to graduate, but with a little bit of luck I can regain my aptitude for using computers.  I feel like computer scientists sit at their desks brainstorming, problem solving and sneaking time to browse the web or to play games.  Ideally, and if I were more talented I would write programs that would make sound recording and mixing tracks easier.  My main use for computers in the future will most likely be to record and copy music.  Visit Computer Science 006 for details about this class.
