Assistant professor Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynecology Duke Global Health Institute Duke University, Durham, NC * * * I am an assistant professor at Duke University in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Duke Global Health Institute. I am also a member of the Duke Center for AIDS Research. Substantively, my work addresses intersections of maternal, reproductive, and child health, infectious diseases, and global health. I am currently funded by NIH / NICHD 4R00-HD-06-3961-02 to examine the impact of pregnancy on response to highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) in South Africa. I am also involved in ongoing work involving HPV/HIV coinfection in women; TB/HIV coinfection; and soy exposure during infancy and time to menarche. Methodologically, my work concentrates on causal inference. Specifically, I have ongoing work studying inverse probability weighted marginal structural models, the parametric g-formula, doubly robust models. In August 2009 I gave a five-minute introduction to causal thinking at IgniteSeattle. My CV available upon request. Citations in PubMed can be found here. Papers are available on my research page. My DGHI home page is here. |
