About Me
My name is Daniel Charbonnet and I am currently a student at Duke University. I am originally from a town just north of Houston, TX called The Woodlands. I grew up my entire life their and contribute much of my personality, faith and beliefs, and way of life to that town and the people that surrounded me there. Ever since I was young my parents raised me in a very strong faith centered, family first lifestyle that I am now exceedingly thankful for. Growing up as a Christian in a very conservative town in Texas resulted in many of my beliefs and convictions leaning heavily that way. In turn playing a key role in my deciding over all political issues. Although ever since I came to Duke four months ago I have been challenged in my academic, athletic, and even my social life on just about every conviction I hold as true to myself. These challenges have allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and that I was so enthralled in, venture out into the unknown of my political beliefs. All of this has not changed my beliefs or affected my convictions at all, (if anything they are stronger now because of it) but rather learned how to view an issue unbiasedly from all sides of the political spectrum. I am thankful for the all of the challenges and now welcome them openly, instead of immediately throwing up my guard of argumentation. This unbiased approach to an issue could be the key to unlocking the solution too much larger issues beneath all of these we argue so adamantly about. That is why I created this site, to look at abortion in a new way, unbiased, and not trying to figure out if abortion is right or wrong. Instead examining and researching what causes abortions to occur in the first place, and what can we do to help.
I am VERY proud to be a Texan
