The payoff was sooo worth it. about a score of my friends had made the trip from Durham to Steele Creek Marina on Kerr Lake for the festivities. After rigging the boat and stepping the mast I backed her carefully down the ramp . . . pausing only long enough to turn up "Amazing Grace" on the truck's stereo.

That brought forth a round of applause from the onlookers.
