Christchurch Cathedral

There are more churches in Ireland than I have ever seen. The amazing thing is even in small towns, the churches are impressive. In America, we tend to build churches to fit the community, i.e. small town, small church. The Irish have apparently taken the other tack and built churches to fit God. They are big . . .and fancy . . . and wondrous in their beauty.
