Town of Trim, County Meath

Well, here it is, the very castle Mel, (oooo, Mel!) used in
his epic. I wish he could have fixed it back up after he sacked
it, ah well . . .
This Norman castle, reputed to be the finest example of its kind,
was started in 1173 and completed the following century. They
must have had one heck of a contractor.
By the way, I have it on good authority, (the good people of
Trim), that Mel, (oooo, Mel!), was terrific when he was in Trim.
Did not adopt any airs, went out drinking with the local boys and
they think quite highly of him in these parts. Nice to hear good
things about someone in high places.
