So you want to know about me? I'm a junior at Duke (duh). I'm living in Windsor #124, straight BME major. If I get off my butt I might take biochem and get a chem minor... but that will be left for senior year if i'm up to it. For now, i'll just take them as they come. Anyway, I am still pre-med after two years. All those wonderful classes are now over. Come to think of it, I actually kind of enjoyed orgo (except the tests). ha!

classes right now: bme171, bme207, bio118, and egr75. finally a semester with only one lab (and its only 1 hour-- HA HA to you bme110 people).

Let's see, outside of classes. This is the 'real part' of duke, huh. I think if people asked what I like about duke, i'd hafta say its the people. Classes are ok, they're not life-changing to me, and they're definitely not what my life is about. there's more out there than academics and image... seek and you shall find. the problem is that it's so easy to fall into a rut, a routine that endlessly tires you until you burn out. but there's hope!

I sing in an a cappella group, something borrowed, something blue. we have a new cd coming out this fall! i'm pitch this year so hopefully the power wont corrupt me =). Also, I am pretty involved in InterVarsity. right now all i do is lead worship and just hang out and stuff. im a pseudo-leader, hee hee.

what about dave chong before he came to duke? well, I hail from Wheaton, Illinois, which is a western suburb of Chicago. thats the midwest, where we drink pop. i lived just a few blocks from the major college there, Wheaton College. i lived there all my life through high school. the area is mostly white, so i'm what some people might call a banana, twinkie, or whatever term you want. but here at duke i have 'discovered' more of my asianness, for better or for worse. but im still trapped between two worlds, i guess. but its all good.

that's me on the far left almost every summer up until college i went to a camp called honey rock camp. basically its in bufu land in the middle of a forest somewhere in wisconsin. so this is where i learned all about camping and trekking out in the wilderness, as well as appetites for strange things such as fire, climbing, and other outdoorsy kind of stuff was fueled. That picture to the right is a fake picture taken for the camp brochure cover (woo, my first cameo). if you'll notice, we're awfully close to a rather large fire. burned leg hairs (what little asians have anyway) are not fun. oh, im the one to the far left.

And I guess my one of my fave 'hobbies' is music. i wish i were a music major...
