Almond crust

Ingredienti


[ 100 g | 3 1/2 oz ] almonds
[ 40 g | 3 tbsp ] powdered sugar
[ 140 g | 10 tbsp ] butter
[140 g | 1 c + 2 tbsp ] flour
1/4 tsp salt
vanilla to taste

Ricetta


Chop the almonds in a food processor with the sugar stopping just before they are powdered. Add the chopped cold butter, flour, salt, and vanilla if desired. Process until the butter is just worked into the flour.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes before using.

If blind baking, bake at [ 180 C | 350 F ] for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
