[ 200 ml | 1 c ] whole milk
black tea (Darjeeling, Assam)
1 tbsp sugar
2 pinches chai masala

4 parts ground cardamom
2 parts ground ginger
1 part ground black pepper
1 part ground cinnamon

Ricetta
Mix enough tea leaves for a strong tea (about 2 teabags) with the milk, sugar, and chai masala. Bring to a boil. (n.b. milk overboils easily). When it comes to a boil reduce heat and continue to simmer for 3 minutes. Strain then add a small pinch of fresh masala.
Notes: good with frothed milk, if you're into frothy drinks.
