Chicken sateh

Ingredienti


[ 1/2 kg | 1 lb ] chicken
2 tbsp peanut oil
1 clove garlic
crushed red pepper
red curry paste
brown sugar
1/4 tsp turmeric
3 tbsp fish sauce
3 tbsp lime juice

Ricetta


Cut the chicken into thin small strip. Combine the rest of the ingredients and marinade the chicken for between 2 and 12 hours.

Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 10 mins then thread the chicken onto them. Grill or broil until done. Serve with your favorite sateh sauce, (e.g. spicy peanut).

Notes: if you don't have time to grill you can also sear the marinated chicken in an oven proof pan for 3 minutes then place under the broiler of an oven for about 10 minutes or until done.
