Pecan pie

Ingredienti


[ 1 c | 200 g ] dark or light corn syrup
3 eggs
[ 1 c | 175 g ] sugar
[ 2 tbsp | 25 g ] butter
1 tsp vanilla
[ 1 1/2 c | 180 g ] pecans
1 pie crust

Ricetta


Preheat the oven to [ 180 C | 350 F ].

Mix the corn syrup, melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until uniform, then mix in the pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until the center of the pie reaches [ 95 C | 200 F ], allow to cool (so it sets).

Notes: check the pie before it's done to see if it's browning too much and cover with foil if it is.
You can add chocolate chips or chocolate shards.
