1 tuna steak (about [ 175 g | 1/3 lb ])
4-5 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp butter
3-4 tbsp soy sauce

Ricetta
Coat the tuna with sesame seeds.
Bring a pan to high heat and add the vegetable oil. When oil just starts smoking place tuna in pan and cook for 1-2 min. per side. Remove to cutting board and cut into slices. Serve with sauce given below.
For the sauce: heat a small pan and add the butter, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Reduce to desired thickness.
Notes: The pan will have to get really hot, which will degrade nonstick coatings. Use a stainless steel frying pan. The tuna will be rare, make sure it is sashimi grade.
