Burns, Annie Walker, Abstract of pensions of South Carolina soldiers of the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 & Indian Wars (Washington:  the author, 1960?).

Vol. 12, F11:  Alexander Caldwell served in the War of 1812.  His third wife, Sidney F. Wilson was the widow of Marton Pinion.  She married Marton Pinion in March 1844, had one daughter with him and lived with him in NC for 2 years.  In Feb. 1846, Marton Pinion died and she moved back home to Chester, SC and later married Alexander Caldwell on Feb. 7, 1855.
