Welcome
I am a third-year graduate student in the Department of History at Duke University. I study United States history from 1848 through the present, military history, gender and war, and the history of sexuality. My proposed dissertation is tentatively entitled “The Sexual Economy of War: Regulation of Sexuality within the U.S. Army, 1898-1940.”
All of the portfolio materials are currently in draft form and awaiting defense. My portfolio materials may be accessed by field (e.g., all the U.S. history-related files are grouped together) and by material type (e.g., all the research papers are grouped together). This website also contains a copy of my prospectus, C.V., a sample research grant, my intellectual agenda which also provides a critical reflection on each of the fields, and sample teaching materials, including my teaching philosophy.
