I am currently a fourth-year student at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, however, I was born and raised in Atlanta,GA where I lived with my parents Loretta and John. My first encounters with the issue of steroid use occurred during my middle and high school years.It was not until my first semester at Duke when I chose to do a research project on steroids for my Writing 20 course that I became closely interested with the subject. The floodgates for assumed steroid users have opened presently.I knew athletes were taking steroids , but it never seemed to be high-profile athletes such as it is presently. It made me wonder how many hall of fame athletes and high-profile athletes have chosen to use illegal substances to enhance their performance. The subject also made me wonder how steroids are used to enhance the body.
