Hi, My name is Jessica DiZio. I am an eighteen year old freshman at Duke University in North Carolina. Originally, I was interested in learning about this topic because of my friends and family who are gay. I felt like they would not have the same opportunities as heterosexual members of American society. Despite my original bias, by researching this topic, I attempted to see both sides of the situation.
