"The most unusual and fascinating program of the season..." the Raleigh news and Observer

"The percussionists played with power, passion, and precision." the Triad Style magazine

"...an absolutely brilliant performance." the Greensboro News and Record

Besides concerts of percussion music, Philidor has been the featured soloist, performing Russell Peck's The Glory and the Grandeur (pictured above with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra), with many orchestras including: The North Carolina Symphony, The Canton Symphony Orchestra and the Augusta Symphony Orchestra.

Youngsters respond enthusiastically to our percussion music lecture/demonstration because it's entertaining and educational. This upbeat presentation of many orchestral and ethnic percussion instuments shows there's more to drums than Rap andRock. African and funk, mambo and Mozart, Indian tabla and Jazz; all are related in the world of rhythm. Sound effects, melodic percussion and junkyard instruments are played as well. Historical and scientific (acoustics/physics) information tie everything together. This fascinating program is presented in a 45 minute program; perfect for a school assembly.
