Sonnet -Tardigrads

Tardigrad: from the Italian tardi (long, late) and the Russian gorod (city): the late city

With pictures and drawings like the one on bottom

I can explain a strange animal you cannot

have heard of and that’s why with the size of a dot

of a pencil they don’t cause any harm at home

To tell that discovery of several little- known

invertebrate phyla between the nematodes

and the crustacea, insects, ticks and the god

knows what else (mites?) and what ? ah, yes, between roundworms.

An older tardigrade has been jailed in Belgrad

another one has made the night of the Oscars

a few of them are now fighting in the mountain

Remember: tardigrads are small and unnoticed

you may if you wish it clean any from that list

because they will survive whatever you do them
