The MURDOCK Study is funded by a generous gift from real estate developer and owner of Dole Foods, David Murdock, to the Duke Translational Medicine Institute. The study is part of a larger endeavor to build the North Carolina Research Campus, a world class health and nutrition research institute in neighboring Kannapolis, North Carolina. For more information, contact Victoria.christian@duke.edu.
Horizon 1 of the MURDOCK Study is a clinical-genomic research consortium of Duke investigators using genomic technologies to reclassify disease at the molecular level and generate clinically useful biomarkers. For more information contact Jeanette.mccarthy@duke.edu.
Horizon 1.5 is the enrollment of 50,000 residents of Kannapolis and Cabarrus County into a longitudinal molecular epidemiology study to support future research efforts. For more information, contact Ashley.dunham@duke.edu.
