Site 1: Net Censorship Now!
This site gives no options- it says censorship of the Internet is the one and only way to function, no questions asked. The author of this site does not identify himself, nor does he give any qualifications. His writing is utterly biased, with very little facts backing it up. If someone seeking knowledge visited Net Censorship Now!, I doubt they would glean much insight into the controversy over censorship. Additionally, many of the links on this page do not lead anywhere but "404 Not Found." Overall, it is a highly opinionated, ineffective website.
Site 2: Rock Out Censorship
Any website that says "we are fed up, disgusted, offended, and pissed off about having our First Amendment rights trampled, ignored, desecrated, and pissed on by spineless politicians" on the main site definitely has a heavy slant. If a kid were to see his favorite rock star speaking out against politicians, religious groups, or authority figures, he might assume the same viewpoint without finding any facts. This site uses fame to persuade, which is a somewhat underhanded advertising scheme. Finally, the site displays a sketch of a middle finger waving with the message "censor this," appealing to a somewhat immature crowd.
Site 3: CDA Civil Disobedience Guide
The Civil Disobedience Guide equates censorship with the "government snooping on innocent citizens." It is highly against the Communications Decency Act, and any sort of government regulation of media. This site considers the issue of censorship in black and white terms, with definite winners and losers. From this point of view, the "losers" will always end up unsatisfied, and continue to fight for what they value.
