Computer Science Autobiography
- I have been using a computer since around the time I was eight years old
- I've used a bunch of different types of computers. PC desktops that have been homemade, and ones that
are bought from places like Gateway and Dell. I've used Macs of all sorts, plenty of laptops, and
even a few desktops dealing with linux.
- On a daily basis I use my Macbook Pro laptop with both Windows and OS X boots. I usually use it for
mainly emailing purposes. Checking websites like digg. Also, of course, using the stumble upon button
to pass countless hours of time.
- I started with computer science when I took for the AP Computer Science class in high school mainly
for the teacher. He had been my favorite teacher for Calculus and then I immediately took a liking
to computer science.
- My best computer programming experience was one time when my friend asked me a question about a small
problem he was trying to figure out. I proceeded to realize that I had a program written that was
similar to the situation he was caught on. I then used this program to solve his problem. This
made me realize the real world sort of applications of computer science
- My favorite programming project was one in which I designed a slot machine program in my high school
computer science course. I really liked this because it ended up being an extremely autonomous
program in which I was able to figure out things for myself. I also was able to add whatever I
wanted to the project. This made it a fun game in which I had to figure out what I wanted to add
and how to do it.
- I'm not quite sure how I see myself using computers in the future other than my current recreational
usage. But I will definitely be using computers for almost anything you could probably think of at
some point in my life.
