Here are the papers that I have written since I have been in the Duke Nursing Informatics Program.

INFORMATICS PAPERS

Usability Research Study Paper- I conducted a remote usability study of the website NIResource.com. The manuscript is currently being considered for publication in the journal CIN.

Health Information Issues Paper- This paper explores the issues of the quality of health information that is available to health care consumers via the internet.

PAPERS ON OTHER SUBJECTS

Research Proposal- This is a research proposal that was designed, but not carried out. The research question for this proposal was: Does an emergency department triage nurse's attitude towards domestic violence influence domestic violence screening rates?

Research Critique- This is a critique of the following research article: Sabo, C. E., & Michael, S. R. (1996). The Influence of Personal Message with Music on Anxiety and Side Effects Associated with Chemotherapy. Cancer Nursing, 19(4), 283-289.

Health Issues Paper- This paper looked at the health issue of violence directed towards women in an inner-city population.

Management Issues Paper-This paper looked at the complex management issue of overcrowding in emergency departments.

Program Planning Paper- This paper was a group effort and the purpose of this paper was to develop an education program looking at all of the details that are involved in such an endeavor. The program that my group developed was an STD education program for adolescents and young adults.
