Prince Jumping Spider (Phidippus princeps), #7036 Orange Co., NC 16 Oct 2008 Thanks to David Hill for identifying this spider. He states this is likely a penultimate stage female. David also reports that this species is much more colorful in the southeast, as this individual shows. Northerly specimens of females of this species are often dull gray or brown. |
